my opinion

i think that if you receive an e-mail and do not respond to the person who sent it about the topic that was discussed that you do not have the right to talk about the topic with other people. even if you respond, you might not have the right to talk about it with other people. but if you can't even give the courtesy of replying to the person about it, that must mean it's not a worthy topic or why else would you not respond. things like this have made me mad. i've sent e-mails about a topic to person A. then person A does not respond to the e-mail or even with an acknowledgment and saying something that doesn't involve much thought but is a reply to the e-mail. then the next day i hear from person B about said e-mail. it makes me mad. so there was enough of a reaction to the e-mail to prompt discussion but this discussion was not with me. what was said. i dont know. do i want to know?0 yes. that is the whole point of sending the original e-mail. i dont just send e-mails with a story and with questions to not get anything in response. sometimes i even say that i expect to hear the persons reactions. i dont always get that.

hmm would you rather no response on someone who responds to only part and ignores half the questions in an e-mail?

(this is a pet peeve of mine, especially when they answer a question in the middle or end so they most likely read through the rest of the e-mail)

i would rather answer half the questions than no e-mail at all because then as soon as i get the e-mail back w/o the information i send another reply saying they missed the question. people probably hate me like that. well sometimes i don't say if the story that was told earlier was kind of personal and i'm just asking questions to give me more details i know people might not want to respond so they skip them on purpose. but those kind are noticeable and i get a reply to those e-mails. i hate the lack of response. well i also hate when i write liek 5 paragraphs and then i get a 1 sentence reply. i can be guilty of this when i'm at work but i usually write one more sentence saying i'll write more when i get home. then i star the e-mail to look at later.
