Driving... too much (June 7)

What a day today was.

I wanted to get to work for 6:30 since I knew I'd have to make up time for taking Dave to the doctors even though I did not know when that appointment would be.  I know I hit snooze a few times normally so I had to account for that.

Well this morning I set 3 alarms. Somehow I messed up hitting snooze on all 3. I blame Kitty. On one she scratched me because she got scared the alarm went off.
I got to work at 8.  A minute or so after I get to work I see a text, email, and missed call from Dave telling me when his ophthalmologist appointment is.  9:30. So I'd have to pick him up by 8:50. I misread all things and thought his appointment was 9:50 and that we had to leave home by 9:30.  Ooops.   So I worked about 50 minutes before driving him.

They took forever to call us in. We were a little late.   They did some eye tests on Dave.  He has to go to a retina doctor at AGH next week.

Then I drove back home, dropped Dave off and made PB&J sandwiches and drove to work.  Instead of staying today to make up all my time I left around 4:30 to go to visit my gram at McKeesport Hospital. I have never been there so I printed directions and well I left them at work. My GPS was able to find it but I didn't even follow those directions. I detoured to go to Wendy's and the rest of the way I followed my mom's directions.  I got to the parking garage and was unsure how to get to the main hospital. I guessed going to floor 1 in the parking garage but then the hallway to the hospital wasn't even obvious.  I at least figured it all out.

It took 90 minutes to get there.  I got Wendy's on the way.   Shortly after I got there they sedated her.  She did not like the breathing tube down her throat.   I stayed for about an hour.  The doctor visited while I was in Gram's room and mentioned that she had a stroke which we knew, had pneumonia which we knew, but then also said that her heart is having trouble pumping and that we did not know.  He mentioned wanting to give her an MRI but can't because of her hip replacement and stent they put in for AAA. Poor gram.

You need a parking token to exit the garage. I bought that in the Lobby. I went to the elevator in the parking garage to go down to B.  In the elevator I drop my token. It is so close to the door but I thought I could grab it. I took too long to think and the door opened and moved my coin.   I hurried and closed the door opened the coin would be moved back. No luck. I went back to 1 to get a new token.  I could hear the token rattling inside the door.

While buying a new token and texting Timmy about the event, the elevator starts beeping.  A lady tries to use it. It won't work. She has to use the other elevator.  Then I go to text Timmy about this and more people come to try to use the elevator.  It is no longer beeping but I know it won't work. I decide to use the stairs so they don't try to talk to me about the broken elevator.   It doesn't work for them either.

In conclusion I broke the elevator and had to pay an extra 3 bucks to park for 1 hour in the parking garage.
The elevators are through there
I had to call my Aunt to tell her they sedated gram so don't bother coming back tonight. Then I felt like I had to call my mom to tell her about the elevator before Timmy ruined my story.  It took me awhile to actually leave the parking garage.  I was just leaving my parking spot and told Timmy and he said no because my dad saw me leave ages ago.   I sent them the above picture showing I was still in the garage. Then Timmy sent me a bunch of me leaving the garage (or the person they thought was me. I'm not really sure.)
Timmy stalked me leaving.
Then I had to drive home.   All that driving totaled about 5 hours today. Too much.

I got home and Poly was restless. She kept wanting petted or played with or something but nothing really satisfied her.  Finally she got comfortable... on my messy desk.
1 of 2 new shelves
I still have not had the chance to finish putting together my book shelves.  I have 1 together and some stuff on it.  I was putting albums on the top shelf and the glass is bowing. I couldn't put anything else heavy on that.  I can't wait until the 2nd shelf is to the left of this one.  I can figure something out.  It's hard to choose what heights I went all the shelves at before I have everything set up.
This past weekend I cleaned off my one desk for Poly.  She loved it. Today she didn't love it so much.  There is still some cleaning to do.

Dave was ready to watch TV.  So I came downstairs and we watched Criminal Minds even though I still wanted to finish setting up in my room as much as possible.  Poly joined me on my lap so I could not type emails or type my blog anymore.
Why I'm still up typing my blog...hard to do it with Poly on lap
Then she got really comfortable so I really couldn't move her.  Once the show was over, Dave said it was time to bed and tried to get her to move. She wouldn't listen. He picked her up and took her upstairs so I was able to type this.

It is early but I am going to pick out my clothes for tomorrow and set my alarms so I can make it to Body Pump at 6:30.
