More About Me

I stole this from Julie. I have shared some random facts and things in the past but they never had a label so I just went back and found a few if you are interested.

Four Names People Call Me Other Than My Name:
  1. Goosey
  2. Mommy
  3. Mama
  4. Mom
(yes I had to reach far to all the things Ella calls me since I don't have nicknames)

Four Jobs I've Had:
  1. Waitress at Pizza Hut
  2. Banquet Server and Hostess at Chesterfield's
  3. Janitor for Norwin School District in the Summer
  4. Janitor for RPI (work study)
Four Movies I've Watched More Than Once:
  1. Dirty Dancing
  2. Peyton Place

  2. 50/50 by Dean Karnazes
  3. Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner by Dean Karnazes
  4. Peyton Place by Grace Metalious
(I haven't read in so long that this was hard to think about. I read other running books but they weren't as good. I also like all books by Mary Higgins Clark)

Four Places I've Visited:
  1. Niagara Falls
  2. Erie, PA
  3. San Francisco, CA
  4. Washington, DC
Four Places I'd Rather Be Right Now:

 Four Things I Don't Eat:
  1. Seafood

(There are so many foods that I don't eat but I listed the first 2 that came to my mind then Dave chimed in with berries so I couldn't think of anything else until I typed that one. Ella loves refried beans  so that one seemed more important to list.)

Four of My Favorite Foods:
  1. Any starch with cheese  (Cheese fries, Nachos and Cheese)
  2. Chip n dip
  3. Peanut Butter with sugar (peanut butter fudge, peanut butter pie, peanut butter cookies, peanut butter balls, peanut butter cake, etc.)
  4. Angel Hair with meat sauce (as an added bonus it can be on a sandwich)
 Four TV Shows I Watch:
  1. Parenthood
  2. How to Get Away with Murder
  3. The Fosters
  4. Blackish Four Things I'm Looking Forward To This Year:

  1. All the things Ella will do/learn
  2. Going to Idlewild (hope it happens)
  3. Being done with nursing
  4. Leaving Ella with someone else for more than 3 hours

Four Things I'm Always Saying:

  2. She is so stinking cute - About Ella to Dave or my mom
  3. Will you tickle? - To Dave and he rarely does. I want him to tickle my back. It feels so nice
  4. How did she get so big? - about Ella!

1.14

Ella had her 1 year doctor visit almost a month late. We scheduled it closer to her birthday than we should have and the doctor was out for a bit so we just did it late.  Ella had fun at the park but otherwise as pretty miserable. She just lied on the floor at one point.  I think 4 shots did her in.

The doctor visit sucked.  It took forever. I can't believe how much waiting you do. Waiting in the waiting room, waiting in the exam room for the doctor, waiting in the exam room for the nurse to give shots, waiting in office 20 minutes after a shot.  The experience was even more unpleasant than it should have been because a nurse was training and really didn't know how to give shots. She was given directions while giving them on the angle to place them and how far up and down the leg.  She would also poke the needle in and then would have to totally reposition her hand to push the syringe down. I feel like your hand should be in position so you are quick.  They also don't know how to measure. Ella moves and hear head is up 2 inches past the initial line they put by her head.  Oh well at least I do my stats at home.

Ella did enjoy the park.  I feel like her legs look so long when she's in the swing.

When Ella was lying like this, I figured we should get Dave as soon as possible from work since this is not normal and he's good at cheering her up.

Ella was in the living room. I was in the kitchen cleaning up. I walk back to the dining room and see Ella with my milkshake. It was on the table!

2015 Running Goals

Screen Capture from a video of my 10k finish on 9/13/14
For 2015 I am going to make my running goal to run 38 miles per month with a reach goal of 42 miles. I decided this probably the first week of the year but didn't post it. I'm transitioning my running excel file to a google spreadsheet instead of Excel so I have to redo the equations and stuff.  So I should have a minimum of 456 miles this year or 504 with my reach goal. I know a few months will have 10 or more bonus miles so I hope I can get even more.

I would like to run at least 2 races. I would really like to do 1/month but that will never happen so 2 for the year is a good enough goal.

Dave said he would take running pictures of me while pushing the stroller and he hasn't yet so I need to get some of those this year too!

I will do other things but don't have goals about them. We go on a lot of walks.

What are your goals?
