Miles 7 Month Update

I was so busy that Miles had his photos taken in a onesie that wasn't white. Then I forgot to take his stats.  Then I had to hurry to make collages before shutting down my computer so I just randomly picked a few photos to make a collage with. Not even sure they are the best.  Then it took me 10 days just to start writing this so it's short. I kept forgetting if things he did started before or after April 10. There aren't many pictures in his normal chair because I was so quick creating the collages. I didn't photo edit at all or even crop. The outside pictures were taken at Angie's. She took some and I took some.

Stats:
  • Weight: 20 lb 2 oz - 81th percentile
  • Height: 29.5" - 99.6th percentile
  • Head Circumference: 45.6 cm - 91th percentile
  • Weight/Length Percentile: 32%
  • Diapers: Size 3
  • Clothing: Mostly 9 month clothing. He also wears 12 month onesies sometimes. Most of his pants are too short but I still have him in them even the 12 month pants.
  • Shoe Size: N/A
  • Teeth: 2  (I feel like his top teeth are super close to coming in.)
(stats using WHO)
I didn't take his stats on his birthday. I forgot.
Sleep
Sleeping has been a little bit better but now he has Benadryl a lot during the day and once in the middle of the night.

He takes 2-3 naps a day most days.

He wakes up  in the morning and then is awake 2-4 hours then he naps then is awake 3-4 more hours before a nap. He might have a third nap if his 2 naps were short. Sometimes his naps are 10 minutes long and it still counts as his nap.  I'd say most days of the month he has at least 1 nap that is about an hour long.

Eating
He nurses so much less now that he's up to eating 3 meals a day.
I was going to list what actual foods he's eaten but he's had so many things now I can't keep track. I'm most shocked with how much hoagie he can eat.  Throughout the day he goes hours without nursing. He will even wake up from a nap and not nurse for 1-2 hours. It's kind of great.

He still gets extremely distracted while nursing.

Sample Schedule:
Around 7:30 PM,  he likes to start nursing to go to sleep. Lately he wakes up at least 1 time in the middle of the night. I give Benadryl when he wakes up. Throughout the day he's awake 3-4 hours between naps except the very first one of the day it's usually 2 hours. Also if he has a late nap he still wants to go to bed near 7:30. Days he has 2 naps he wants to go to sleep for the day near 6 but I have to hold him off a bit because I can't pick Ella up or handle dinner and get him down right then. There were plenty of naps this month while Ella was at preschool that he napped on me so that he'd nap a little longer.  Most of the rest of the day he wouldn't even let me put him down.   He eats actual food near breakfast time, near lunch or around 3 pm, and then at dinner with us. I tend to start his dinner earlier if I can so I can feed him before I'm eating.

Special Moments:
On March 11, I gave Miles a cup with a straw and he just drank out of it right away.
On March 17, he threw up in the morning after nursing a lot.
On March 18, Miles rode on my shoulders for the first time.
On March 22, he fell off the bed.
On March 25, he started shimmying in the crib.
On March 31, we flew to Pittsburgh and flew back home on April 4.
On April 3, I actually saw him roll back to front. (He did it so rarely but usually I never saw it.)
On April 7, I put him in his crib after nursing. There was lots of coughing. I went back in even though I wanted him to just go back to sleep. Moments after having him vertical he threw up everywhere.

Development:
He sits pretty well. He calls "mama" a lot when he wants me. Most of the time lifts up his hand for high 5 when you ask for one. His fine motor skills of picking things up to eat has improved a lot this month. He stopped choking on so much food that he wanted to eat. He drank out of a straw cup right away. And has had water from a straw cup on numerous occasions. He started shimmying on his back to move a few feet from where he started.

Communication:
Words Miles consistently says with meaning are Mama, Ella, and hi.

Other Tidbits
His eczema is mostly cleared up but then he has times where he gets some patches again. He scratches way less now that we are giving him the proper Benadryl dosage. We were a bit low until his 6 month visit.
My Recovery
I probably have 28 lbs to lose but haven't weighed myself in awhile. My knee is still stiff a lot and not getting a lot better. It's not awful but it's at the same level it's been at for awhile. I haven't been running. My groin has been hurting a lot. My belly seems bigger than it was a couple months ago.  I've had numerous nose bleeds since being pregnant but I never did before.  I have to pee all the time and I used to be way better at that.  I notice so many changes in my body compared to before I was pregnant. It is just so weird.

As always I feel like I forgot to include so much. I feel like this month was even worse than normal. If I talked to you in the past month about something I didn't include, let me know so I can add it.

    2. I typed a long reply and it didn't work so the above was a test to make sure it'd work.

I even only randomly picked pics this month. Others might be better.

He finally passed up Ella in height at the same age.

He still has times of bad skin but I can get it to clear up.
