amusement parks

i went to kennywood today. i went because jason and haley were going and asked if we wanted to go. then i found out it was my dad's work picnic so i had him get me cheaper tickets. then dave didn't want to go all day so i decided to go early with my parents have dave meet me for bingo w/ my dad's work then we'd meet haley and jason at 5 when they showed up. i only learned later that jason's ticket he already had was for a nighttime ticket. i was surprised how early dave showed up. that made me happy. well after i'm at kennywood in the awful heat i learn haley and jason aren't going. made me mad for many reasons. i spent maybe 3 hours walking around the park and eating w/ dave. we only rode the marry go round. then i rode with my parents, but mainly my mom sat on a bench while my dad and i rode. so dave was there for a total of 6 hours. in the hottest part of the day. he parked in the 3rd parking lot and then when he tried to get back up there the ski lift was broken so he had to WALK up. also after he got up there he learned they do shuttle busses too. i was only there for about 2 hours after dave left. my parents wanted me to spend the night at their house and not bring me home but i talked them into bringing me home since we didn't stay until the park closed. i barely rode anything but it was still fun. i need smaller friends. i need friends willing to go on rides. i need friends willing to go to the park. it's sad.

so today i learned a story about a time i was at an amusement park up near Erie. i was a year and a half old and apparently i could talk really well at that age. well my parents wanted me to go on the train but i wanted to go on roller coasters. so i kept yelling at them that i didn't want to go on the train. my mom said i was a wild little girl. they thought i'd be scared but i liked rides. now they don't let you on so young. kids are missing out. they used to have the you have to be at least 48" (or some height) to ride this yourself but if you were shorter you just had to ride it with an adult. well now they have a hight like say 36" so you have to be between 36 and 48 if you want to ride it with an adult but can't ride it yourself. i've also noticed that lots of rides don't even have the shorter restriction and if you are under 48 you can't ride it at all. also the enterprise (now the volcano) makes you be 54" to ride the thing. that was NEVER the case before. insane.

so today my food was
2 donuts from dunkin donuts
big strawberry parfait with frozen yogurt on it.
french fries with cheese
and ice cream sandwich
half a piece of pizza (dave didn't like it so i got half)
some bites of his strawberry parfait with cool whip
french fries with cheese
dippin dots (cookies 'n cream)

and now i'm hungry and i'm going downstairs to eat.
