Day 28 - March 8 - Everybody Everywhere Day

Since I'm still in my 30 for 30, I had to go with an accessory with polka dots and the only thing I have is tights.
Boots: Famous Footwear, Cardigan: B Moss, Cami: Express, Skirt: F21,
Tights: Target, Necklace: Lia Sophia
I did a little jumping for the Everybody Everywhere day.
Jumping is hard work to time the picture properly. It is also hard work to not make the weirdest facial express. It also messes up your shirt so it is too high on your body.

Now to get this post up I had to upload my pictures at home this morning, crop them at home, make the collage at home. Therefore, I got to work a good 30 minutes later than I normally do.

Don't forget to join me for Color Rotation Challenge starting March 15.

Polka Dots | Everybody, Everywear

Daily Update: I got to work later than normal so I had to stay later. This would greatly impact my gym schedule. I thought I could run at lunch. Well I was wrong. I had a meeting 12-1 and another one 2-3:30 (and one 2:30-3 and one 3:00-3:30).  We have core hours that end at 3:30 so I thought I could get a run in after the 3:30 meeting and go back to work.  Well the last meeting actually ended at 4:10. I was headed over to change to run and realized pilates starts at 4:30 so I should just go to that. Also it was pretty chilly outside without the sun so I wasn't sure about an outside run. I thought I had enough time to run 1 mile and then do pilates. I was wrong. I would have had about 4 minutes but people get to class early and I didn't want the spots to be gone so I just went to pilates. Then I decided to run on the treadmill after class.  I got the last treadmill. Then all these people came in looking like they wanted a treadmill. It was too much pressure for me.  I stopped at 1.5 miles (13:15). But during that time I the weather report told me to get outside today and enjoy it because there will be a wintry mix the next 3 days (out of the three day forecast). Boy was I bummed. I guess at least I got a workout in.   So my workout counting stretching and cleaning up was 50 minutes.  I then showered (and put on my outside running clothes) and went back to work. I didn't do my makeup at all. I only brushed my hair and threw it up in a hair claw. I didn't dry it one bit.  I was gone from my cube for 1:45. That meant I had to stay even later.  I did end up staying at work even later than I had to. I left at 8pm. The janitor came to me around 7:30 saying it was official that I was the last person there.

I came home and ate some dinner. I reheated my leftovers from On The Border while watching Detroit 1-8-7.  Then Dave came downstairs and we watched The Event. Then it was 9:30 and we headed to bed. I read until I fell asleep reading.

Day 21: February 24

Cardigan: B. Moss, Skirt: NY&Co, Boots:Steve Madden through VS, Tights: We Love Colors, Cami: Express, Necklace: Kohl's.

I think pantyhose would have been better for this outfit or maybe to have a darker blue necklace.

What would you have done to improve this outfit?

This is the outfit that I picked out in the dark that I tweeted about.  I ended up not going to the gym because if I was to run a 10 mile race on the weekend I should have 2 rest days plus I shouldn't lift for the first time in 10 days or I would be sore.
All of my pictures turned out like crap. Look at the picture above and see how the camera focused on the house across the street and how I'm all blurry.  This is why sometimes a remote is not the best thing.  My remote will focus but when you hit the button, it focuses on whatever it feels like.

My day at work was spent mainly dealing with computer problems.  When I finally left work, I picked up Pizza Hut on the way home.
I was hungry and kind of ate some on the way home. I love this new dippers pizza (or whatever it is called. I couldn't even find it on Pizza Hut site just now.) Who knew knew if you removed all sauce from pizza that it would make it wonderful. I did not use any of those cups of sauce.

I didn't actually leave work until 7:30 so by the time I ate it was practically bedtime. I did watch some TV though.

30 for 30 Winter Edition: Day 12 (February 12) - Happy Birthday

Boots: VS
Jeans: Indi
Cami: Express
Cardigan: B Moss
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Earrings: Target (put on right after the photos)
Belt: Target
At first Dave was standing uphill from me and taking the pictures. I knew they would turn out crazy so then I swapped positions with him. Just look at the difference.  Most of the time  his eight difference is enough to ruin the pictures.  I quickly threw this on about 5 minutes before leaving the house to go to a birthday party.
I had an extensive to do list. Of course I barely got to any of it. I also watched some TV. Poly was on my lap and super cute so I couldn't get up and be productive. She didn't want me to.
Dave took a nap and I took his picture. This reminds me of college. He never naps anymore so I never get any good pictures.
While Dave was napping, Poly thought she should rest in her bag.
While doing laundry, I looked outside and saw our recycle bin in the street.  They never picked up recycling and ours is always so full.  I went out and picked it up. I left it outside because all the neighbors still had theirs up.
I folded some laundry and then looked outside again and it was blown over again.  This time I didn't go pick it up.
The next thing I know, the neighbor, Art, is picking up our recycle bin and putting the cardboard back in it that had blown out.
Then it was off to Jason's birthday party. I didn't think Dave would go because he never wants to go anywhere. Plus he has been busy and we only got the invite for this party 2 days earlier and I actually didn't even learn what place the party was at until that morning. Talk about last minute! And another thing, I only learned about the party 4th hand. I just want to say that I think that is rude. If I'm invited and you want a gift out of me, at least tell me yourself. Don't have your mother tell my father who tells my mother who tells me. Then have to have my family talk to your mother again because all the information wasn't even provided. The "kids" went to Chuck E Cheeses prior to this party. My mom heard people talking about that at the Super Bowl Party yet nobody told them then about a party after. Can you tell I'm a little angry here.  I remember when I was in 5th grade, they invited us to my cousin's birthday party on a Thursday and his party was on that Friday. And the party was 1 month before his birthday. Yes I remember this. I freak out when I don't give people two full weeks notice about something.  Also when I had a party, I called my cousin myself to invite him (and he told me he and his family would come and they did not.)  The time after that I had a party and I told my cousin about it in person. Then I tried to confirm with his wife via facebook and she ignored me... yet you could tell she was on because she had farmville updates or whatever those games are that people update about.  I couldn't find out if they were coming until the day before. (Having 11 or 14 matters to me with how much food I wanted to buy/needed to buy.)  OK I'm done with my rant.

Anyway, Jason turned three.
He got a fishing rod aka a weapon he was swinging around.
I don't know who that other kid is but he did run by me a lot hitting me in the arm with his little wrestler toy saying it was biting me. I barely saw Jason at all.  We left around 9:00 PM because we like to go to sleep and we had an hour+ drive home.  Well apparently even though the entire time Jason was there, he didn't care about me at all, that once I left, he kept asking for me.  Figures.
While I was occupying myself at the party, I saw some roses so I took some pictures.  I also took off the sticker that my aunt still had on their new TV. It was one of those stickers at the bottom that tells you some of the features.

After we got home, Dave and I started watching the Flex DVD they gave us. It was silly and described extremely basic things so then I fell asleep.

I missed my workout for the day. :(

January 17 - A Pretend New Outfit and Lack of Heat

By a pretend new outfit I mean everything is at least 5 years old (except the shoes) but I remixed it in a new way.
By "I remixed it in a new way" I mean that I wore it but Brie remixed it.

Skirt: B-Moss
Shirt: Macy's
Cardigan: B Moss
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Ring: Lia Sophia
Necklace: Christmas gift 4 years ago

What didn't work: This shirt is petite and I could tell as I sat that some skin was about to become exposed in the back so I had to be careful. Also I feel like the sleeves were too tight on my arm pits. I wish the skirt hit just above the knee.

What worked: The nice colors. I'm sick of wearing dreary colors but this cardigan made it not so dreary.

Next time I might branch out and try to belt the cardigan.
The neckline on the shirt is slightly fancy so then I felt fancy all day. I like to feel fancy.

This morning while I was trying to weigh myself, Poly kept stepping on the scale. I can't get over how cute she was. She did it 3-4 times. She'd put her front paws on. I let her stand alone the one time and she was putting 4.6 lbs of pressure on that there scale. She was trying to make me feel like I gained a lot of weight between yesterday and today. (I gained 3 lbs w/o her help.)

Well actually, the heat was broken at work this morning so I didn't feel so fancy. I wore my gloves and put a sweater and my coat over my legs as blankets. I was still freezing. The thermostat said 64 and we were freezing. The heater wasn't working and it was blowing cold air. Once it started to work, it smelled like something was burning for 20 minutes.  Then it "worked" but would only get up to 68 and after being freezing for 2 hours, you need it warmer than that.  That's when I decided to go do a different building and find a cube and work. That cube was nice and warm. I didn't have my 2nd monitor but being warm was worth it.

Today is rest day on my training plan but since I made yesterday rest day, today I ran 1 mile and then did Body Pump. I wanted to run longer than 1 mile. I thought for sure I had time for 1.5 miles but Body Pump class was filling up so I had to get to the room to make sure I got a spot. I ran my mile in 8:52. I started at 6.6 mph, then 7.0, then 7.6 for .1 and then 7.0 and then 6.6 to end it.

I got home and made mashed potatoes and ate it with the rest of my leftover Boston Market.  I was exhausted. We watched Undercover Boss. I love and hate that show. I love to see them undercover. I hate to see how the people that they just happened to work with get HUGE benefits while the next guy who didn't work with the boss gets nothing. Very rarely is there a policy change that benefits. I'm sick of seeing them pay for this person or that person for a vacation or giving this person or that person $15,000 but the next guy not having it.  I really have a lot of problems trying to watch the last five minutes of the show.  Dave was snacking on the couch so his bag of whatever he was eating (crackers of some sort I think) was in Poly's normal spot so she had to find a new spot to rest.  She sure got comfy though.
Poly sure was attentive when Dave was playing with the blinds.
Once Undercover Boss was over, I started working on my RCA. I'm 99% done so I took a break to blog. I'm so exhausted that I needed a mental break.
Variety
The earliest I wore the cardigan on my calendar site was April 6, 2006
The earliest I wore the skirt  on my calendar site was June 13, 2007
The earliest I wore the shirt  on my calendar site was October 22, 2010. (I'm sure I wore it sooner but I have a lot of missing data from days where I did not take pictures.)
I'm glad to see that the look was different.

I will be posting soon 6 different ways I wore certain things. I'll just randomly pick something and see how I wore it. I think it'll be neat to see how I did it especially over the year.  I just need to find the time.

Day 25 - Orange (10.25.10)

Shirt: Loft
Cardigan: B Moss
Pants: Gap
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Earrings: Target
I didn't know what to wear with orange and this cardigan was just right there staring at me. I don't know if it matches but it looked OK to me. But then I didn't know what pants to wear.  I chose navy. I wore navy shoes too.
I didn't sleep well so I was very tired in the morning. I worked. It was probably a busy day.  I went to body pump.  I planned to do cardio too but by that point I get so hungry.  I came home and ate dinner. I had leftover chicken noodle soup. I was going to have it with Dave but he bought pizza for himself. So then I ate all the soup. Then Dave was mad.  He had pizza though.  There was extra broth so I made Ramen to use up the broth.  It was tasty. I should have made more for the rest of the broth but I didn't and then the broth just sat in the refrigerator all week and we threw it away.
BTW I barely use any broth as you can tell by my Ramen which is why we had so much extra broth.
I also wrote my first guest post about shoes.

I'm sick of wearing a watch that I hate. I really need to find one that isn't huge and isn't expensive and is metal. I think my criteria isn't that difficult, but really it is. Places need to quit making watches that cater to the 300 lb person.  Does anyone have a watch they love? Where did you get it?
