I started this when Ella was a few months old. I only added a column about a year ago to it.
My goal is to blog everyday. I also want my daily picture cropped and ready for the blog post. I really wanted snr info added on what I wore but that site hasn't worked in 3 years yet I don't delete that column. To be able to blog a specific date, I have to have my google photos album created or I don't know what goes to what day and can't add it to blogger. To make the album, auto backup has to be up to date. Lately I can get a week behind the auto backup so that's delay 1. Then I delay making the albums. Then I write the post and add the pictures. Sometimes I write a post as the day happens and there will be a lot more text with those. I just happen to have 60+ of these in my blogger draft as we speak.
I started something new where if the blog post is from March 22 then I make the blog time 3:22. I did 2015 posts with AM and 2016 posts with PM. After a few months I may redate some posts to make them better in order or to have a post not be almost a year after it happened. Having the time match the date means I can change the date of 4 posts to the same date and they'd show up in order .
I have a goal of 1 post a day. I rarely make that. My reach goal is 2/day average to try to catch up but I'm very far from that!
My daily picture is 4.5 months behind in cropping and having that ready for a post. This is the most behind I've ever been!
The new column I added is if I shared pictures with friends from a date or an event. I take a lot of pictures and people always want me to share and this helps me keep track if I shared. I just forget to mark this off a lot since my paper isn't always with me.
Currently I'm up to printout 12. I have 6 pages that are ongoing so at least that means I did 6 pages worth.
Sometimes a date is so eventful I skip it because it'd be too long to blog. Then I end up blogging the boring days and not the eventful ones.
Blogger has added a category of "From your phone" that is the auto backup so if I was caught up I could add photos easier. But once you get older than a week it's too hard to scroll.
I'm always torn if I should blog more recently or catch up on old ones. I used to try really hard to make sure all my skipped days were at least blogged before that month the following year so if I had January 2016 posts to do I would have them finished in December. But now I just hope to have it done before the date the next year. So a January 10, 2016 post would have to be up by January 9, 2017. Right now my oldest missing post is January 24 so I have a few days. I have 17 days to catch up on until March 15, 2016 and then I have 9 missing in March. I didn't blog April 30 yet because we went to the museum and it was very eventful. Then starting May 8, 2016, I have a lot that I have not posted. By "a lot" I mean I probably have 3-5 posts a month for all of the following months.
I need to change my methods but I can't handle it. I tried to skip or not post as much but then I didn't like it.
How did you think I blogged? Are these methods close to what you guessed? How would you do it? How do you do it?

Two years ago, my friend, Callie, posted to facebook that she realized my blog was about my cat. Well I saw that on facebook memories and decided to take another screen shot. Poly is still in the lead. Sadly exercise hasn't increased as much as I would have liked. Ella sure has gone from nothing to 493 though.

Outfit site
My outfit site is a work in progress. It was good back in August but then Dave went to upgrade some things and half of it doesn't work. Then I couldn't add more pictures. I'm back to being able to add pictures. But now I'm months behind. I can't wait until it's functional. I also can't wait until it stops taking like a minute to load a page. (ok that's a slight exaggeration) My old old site that didn't have the database had a picture of me everyday even if in pajamas. If I just wore pajamas I didn't enter it on this site. But also now if I just wear the same nursing tanks and pants I barely take my picture. I don't like all the gaps so I might start entering more. Ever since Ella sometimes I wear real clothes (example: April 9) but don't even take a picture. I'm falling off the wagon here. I was so good at taking pictures everyday for 8 years and then slacked off. I started this May 2005 but this site only goes back to April 2009. It is very time consuming to go back. Also the further back you go, the harder it is to remember which jeans they were or harder to enter older articles.
I briefly blogged about it a year ago so you can see what it looked like back then if you want.
As soon as Ella naps when Dave and I don't have a million things to do, we will start pair programming to work on the site. I hope that is soon. He did spend about an hour on his own recently to get it so I could upload pictures so that's good. Actually in January I could have uploaded more but I didn't know. He fixed it so I won't have the problem I had in September though.
Some of the old list type stuff still works and others doesn't. I need to add cost per wear for an article. Back in the day you could hover over a picture on the calendar page and it would pop up with the outfit info and you could click on outfits and articles. I miss those days. I wish I took screen shots before. I like what is listed at the top of the screen shot. It's cool to see how many of each thing I've added.
I love seeing the total for an outfit. (The shoes were a gift so they count as $0 so that's why the cost isn't about $150)

Here are some screen shots I decided to include so at some point I can look back at the progress.

As you can see I was trying to enter some back data. If I knew the year and month but not date, I picked the first of the month. But then sometimes I actually bought something on the first so I can't assume if it's the first I guessed. I also had to guess on some old purchases. I made a post before about my most expensive items. I bet none of that has changed in the past year. Just looking at it and going by memory I think the list is still the same but I can confirm later.
All of this is just an example of how I'm nuts but I love it.

New Website
Apparently the new website Dave is making for me only works in Chrome.
My firefox version was out of date and I didn't upgrade. At least in Firefox you could hover and the correct window would pop up.
Look how nice it is in chrome. More work needs to be done in Chrome before I'd say it's released. I wonder if we should even bother making it work in other browsers because Chrome is what everyone should use anyway.

Clothing Prices and Details
Recently I have been entering all my clothes and accessories into a database. I had over 200 items already in an excel file with dates and prices. I had more on my blog with details. The rest I took educated guesses based on my memory and when I first wore it. I remembered pretty good so I also trusted my price memory. Granted if I was going by memory, I rounded to the nearest $5 and also I chose the first of the month instead of guessing somewhere in the middle.
I made this table of the 15 most expensive things I have entered so far. I have 562 articles entered so far and I'm going backwards and double checking. I'm all the way back to August 2009. There will be more articles to add as I go along but this is how it is right now. If you notice out of the 15 most expensive things all but 2 are a type of shoe. I'm not sure why I entered Boots separate than shoes but I did. My athletic shoes clutter up this page too which is why I picked the top 15 not top 10.
Since footwear hogged up the top 15 list, I made a list of the most expensive things based on the type. I don't know if this shows that I don't buy expensive things or if it shows anything. A few notes, the earrings were full price and then I got Lia Sophia jewelry at half price and the earrings were the cheapest thing so then they are what was full price. I have multiple pairs of tights that were $10. I had a few bracelets that were $10 also. I only entered a few purses in. I only entered what I had on receipts, in my excel file, or in a daily picture but most daily pictures don't include a purse. I bought that pair of sunglasses when I moved to California and before that my most expensive pair was $10. I did find a pair when I moved that when I looked them up it seemed like they cost $200 but I have not entered those. If I got something as a gift, I entered it as $0.
How would you imagine your pricing being? Do you spend more on shoes like I do? Do you keep track of your purchases?
