First Day of in person School (3.18.21)

School finally opened for in person. Other people we know have been going since October. You could choose to stay all virtual or go in person. We struggle with virtual so we went with in person. Ella got a new teacher and almost all new classmates.

She will attend in person 4 days a week and have 1 asynchronous day a week.

Dave walked her to school and I said he better take pictures. He did!

I picked Ella up after school and took pictures of Ella with her friend. (I fixed the letters that were twisted. They were twisted all day. but didn't stay very well.)

Ella had a great first day. She did have to go to the bathroom but was unsure where to go so she held it. From what I hear that happens to many kids especially this year with different bathroom rules.

Climbing and Copying (10.14.20)

2020 Week 41/52 photo

I pulled out this giant tractor to take a picture of it to get rid of it. Liam was loving it. I took a lot of pictures of him on it.

#mbf round 2

I didn't post this in September like I thought. (Now I've done rounds 3 and 4 so I will just post as is.)

Now that it's my second time through, I kind of know what I'm getting myself into. I'll do 1 summary post for all 3 weeks. I made a playlist of all the videos of both rounds. I believe I'm missing 1 and it's doubtful I'll go back and find the right one to uplaod.

Day 1: I worked out late at night and I was sore. I didn't want to workout. I worked out because I was starting Day 1 with some people. I did it anyway. I worked out at 9 PM.

Day 2: My ankle still bothers me. The mountain climbers didn't suck as bad as last time I did Day 2. The third move in the AMRAP I kept getting all confused. I almost started over thinking that my AMRAP would be too low. I forgot to mark down the rounds. But I had the video to go back to. My left shoulder is killing me. I can't lift my arm up. I worked out late at night again. (8/11/20)

Day 8
I did this workout in 92 minutes because of so many interruptions. I was interrupted a bunch before starting but wow it took forever.

Day 9
I had a lot of interruptions. Liam woke up just before AMRAPs. I warmed up a little and then did it later. I almost redid it because I felt like I had to pee the entire time. I figured that slowed me down. I had so much trouble writing down / keeping track how many rounds I did. Luckily I had a video to confirm.

Day 10

I did this workout in the afternoon the same day I did day 8. I didn't go to day 9 since I had just done a workout with AMRAPs on Monday so I didn't want to do it 2 days in a row.

I was behind so then I did 8 and 10 on the same day and got caught up. I switched around the order.

Day 12
|I did this in 3 segments. Kid interruptions are on fun. I debated starting over each time but I'm glad I didn't since I still had interruptions.

Day 13. I was short on time so I did this earlier in the week since it's a shorter workout. Loaded push-up burpees were rough. I had to modify. My hip made it so I had to step not jump on lunges. My shoulders made me modify the front sit through.

Day 15, I noticed I could lift heavier. If I didn't look at my sheet from last time, I might have ended up picking up the same weight.

Day 18 I went out of order so this was the 20th workout out of 21. My core felt the core segments. My right hip bothers me so i couldn't 1 foot hop on that foot. So I half modified. I'm surprised I got my strength back in my left ankle since I sprained it twice. I really love this AMRAP. If Liam didn't wake up, I was going to do it again. I got 12.37. (I went from 10.25, to 12.12 to 12.37) He was actually awake and crying before the AMRAP but I finished the 4 minutes before going up. (8/29/20)

Day 19  I decided to do a second workout so I did day 18 and 19 on the same day.  Balance is hard. I'm shocked my left leg can balance better than my right. But also not shocked since my right hip is messed up. Since I went out of order I finished round 2 on the day 19 workout.

2021 Exercise Goals Progress (February)

 Here's my goals so far.

For 2021, here are my exercise goals and how I'm doing:
  1. Run 100 miles (with a reach goal of 200 miles)
    • January = 24.49 mi  (8.33-16.66/ mo goal)
    • February = 21.51 {46}
  2. Run 52 times (With a reach goal of 100 times)
    • January = 19 runs (4.3 - 8.33 x a month goal)
    • February - 15 {34}
  3. Complete 3 Beachbody programs
    • Muscle Burns Fat (January)
    • Muscle Burns Fat (February)
  4. Exercise in some form 156 times (that's 3x/week) (Reach goal of 312)
    • January = 50  (13 - 26 x month goal)
    • February = 45 {95}
  5. Win 20 step bets
    • January = 2  (1-2 x month goal)
    • February = 3 {5}

Beth told me her running goal was 21 miles so then I said my goal had to be 21 miles. I ended up with a 3 mile run on the last day so I definitely beat it.
I make monthly push-up, plank, and sit-up goals even though they aren't part of my yearly one. I keep squeaking by completing push-ups on the last day. I've gotten ahead in sit-ups since I lowered the goal to not make myself try to do 30 a day since I only do them every few days. All the planks with MBF make me not want to do sit-ups too.

2021 Exercise Goals

I made exercise goals and even made a graphic. But I can't find the post so I'm posting it now!

For 2021, here are my exercise goals:

  1. Run 100 miles (with a reach goal of 200 miles)
    • That's 2 miles a week rounded down. It totally seems doable but I go entire weeks trying to run every single day and not getting a run in at all.
  2. Run 52 times (With a reach goal of 100 times)
    • That's 1 run a week with a reach goal of slightly less than 2 runs a week. I count couple mile runs or even the .2 mile run to pick up Ella.
  3. Complete 3 Beachbody programs
    • I don't have a plan now but I wanted to complete 2 in 2019 and I did not. In 2017 and 2018 I was much more consistent when I had workout plans. I said I'd complete 2 in 2020 so I increased it 1. I completed 4 in 2020 but 3 of those were short 3 week ones.
  4. Exercise in some form 156 times (that's 3x/week) (Reach goal of 312)
    • This is the same goal as last year and the year before. I beat it most of the months in 2020 but had some times when I didn't.
  5. Win 20 step bets
    • I can do up to 3 at a time and they are mostly all for 6 weeks.
I kept these almost the same as last year! I increased my beachbody programs from 2 to 3. I also added completing step bets. I took out about running challenge groups.

3/3/21 instastories

These kids are always waking up too early. I don't take the pic right away and it's still too early.  I packed 4 containers of snacks all at once to make the rest of the week easier. Liam just climbed right up on the island. He was super excited about the jade plant clippings. I attempted to drink my shake at the same time. Ella had to take a photo for the yearbook. We took many before she decided one was good enough.  I tried so hard to drink my energize fast.  I didn't make it in one go but still drank it fast for me since most days it takes about an hour.   Then I did day 20 of #mbf. I did some additional exercises for my hip since it started bothering me. I went upstairs to put in laundry and make the bed and Liam came up covered in cheese with a bowl of cheese curls. Liam thought the entire container of cheese curls was his.  I had a favorite for lunch: Trader Joe's macaroni and cheese and steamed broccoli. Ella liked the broccoli.

I took a picture of Ella sitting on my lap and thought we looked more like than we have in the past. (It may look like we are happy but school was a real struggle and I was rubbing her back to get her to work.)

We went to school to do a packet pick-up. Then we went a tiny bit out of the way to pick up some pinecones so we can paint. Liam held the bag on the way home since it wouldn't fit under the stroller.

Liam pulled out the kid snow shovel and shoveled the driveway for 20 minutes or more.

Dave played video games and it had some setting so Miles got to play too. Liam enjoyed watching while he was still eating.

Then I spent forever finishing my photobook for a super sale. I just ended up having to pay shipping since I didn't order enough for free shipping! (They had extended the sale for 3 days. I ordered one at almost midnight the night of the end of the first sale and then I finished a 2nd photobook at the end of the extension.  I keep getting really far in photobooks then never finishing them. )

Photobooks (2020)

 I finished some photobooks recently

I did my pregnancy with Ella photobook. This wasn't as easy as I thought. I didn't have any of my original files so I had to pull form google photos. Sometimes the quality wasn't that good. I had to search for photos for the dates. I had collages but not things broken up by trimester and didn't have a collage of all the weeks. Just making a few collages sometimes took hours. I did have everything in blog posts but then I had way more blog posts about pregnancy than I could fit so I had to condense a lot.

I did 6 years worth of mom group photos. I just had triple the amount I wanted to include. This one was super super super time consuming since I had to manually pull up pictures. Google photos stopped tagging people in 2015 so I couldn't use that to help me find events. This photobook I did a 12x12 version and 10x10. |Shutterfly will adjust the size easily but I had to then go and fix a ton of fonts.

The first week of February I finished my pregnancy with Liam photobook.

All 3 photobooks were at the Shutterfly page max of 111 pages. Shutterfly doesn't let you embed the books in blogs anymore which is why I just linked to them and put in a screen shot.

(I had already completed my pregnancy with Miles book a couple years ago.)
