8.14 - Monochromatic

Skirt: Athleta (purchased the long version and wish I hadn't), Shirt: Loft, Necklace: F21, Sandals: Target

Before I went to sleep, I checked out EBEW and realized that it was the day to upload something. What were the chances.  So I saw the theme and went to sleep.  Then I woke up and knew I had to get dressed to fit the theme.  This is what I chose.  I would have never put them together if it weren't for EBEW.
I decided to try to take some pictures outside.  I tried my balcony but those failed. So I went outside. All the good shade spots were taken by the contractors so I walked to another spot. I saw a ton of people while I was out.  My remote only works 10% of the time.   It was just all around awfulness when trying to get the pictures.  I still got a few but I took 10x more than I normally take when I'm trying to take a ton and lately I've been taking 2 since I'm not showing off a fancy outfit.

Daily Details:
I woke up. I read some SQL. I read some facebook. I read some emails.  I wasn't that nervous.

I had my interview.

I had a frozen dinner for lunch and watched some TV.  Then I went to take the pictures above.

I went to Target then Safeway.  I had a weird encounter walking into Safeway. I'm walking to the entrance from my car and a guy in an SUV stops and yells "my GOD you are beautiful" and then apologizes for scaring me. Then talks more. He said "I know you aren't from around here. Where are you originally from?" (I want to know how he knew I wasn't from around here.) He asked where I worked. I said I was looking for a job. He asked what kind of work I do. He asked if I found a nice place to live. And I'm pretty sure he asked a lot of other questions to which I'd just shrug. His name is Tom.

As soon as I got in Safeway, I decided to email that story to Dave. Then after that I am walking and just pulling out my list and an employee goes way out of his way to ask if I need help finding anything.  Then he said if I ever need help to let him know.

I was carrying 4 big canvas bags food of groceries and decide to check the mail. We have tons of mail + 2 packages. That was fun to carry up. I wish someone could have gotten a picture of it.  I used my face to hold the top of the package.

I picked Dave up at work. We went to Carl Jr's for a pre-dinner. Then we went to Bay Trail so Dave could take some pictures of me running.  The sun was awful so we didn't get that many.  I'm having to change the curves in Photoshop to make it so my legs are insanely pale with the sun reflecting off of them.

I then spent 3 hours editing them and messing around in photoshop. I put a few online.

9.2

Shorts: Mudd but no idea where I got them or when. Maybe they just appeared on my closet floor
Shoes: Target
Shirt: NY&Co.
What a nice 9/80 day off. I did a lot of laundry. I went to lunch with Dave.   I took a nap.
I probably did other stuff. I have no idea what I did for dinner or what I did all evening and this was 2 days ago.

Oh I did watch Necessary Roughness and Royal Pains. I stayed up too late watching them all.
Here is the small table and chairs I bought a few weeks ago. I didn't have a picture to post then.  It is small, but it at least seats 4 which was better than what was there that sat 0. :) Now if only it wasn't going to rain everyday so I could invite some people over to use this.

8.27 - Steeler Game

I don't have a Steeler Jersey. I also had to dress for the weather and wear something I could wear at a picnic first.

Shirt: Loft
Shorts: Kohl's
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Sears
(2nd necklace that I swapped into at the game was also from Sears)
I ran in the morning and then Poly cuddled with me even before I showered.  She likes me.
I updated my weight graph and continued to be productive.
Then I had to mow. Look at the weeds and grass in the back yard. Some weeds were taller than my knees.
Poly was trying to help us get ready to go.  We went to Sarah and Dave's picnic for 2 hours and then headed to the game. We thought we'd be getting there really early but it wasn't even that early.  We got our food before the game started.  So Heinz Field doesn't accept credit at the food stands but PNC park does. How weird.
The nachos and fries were more expensive than at PNC Park but you got a lot more nachos.  I was still hungry after my first fries/nacho helping so later I had Dave get me more food. I told him to surprise me and he got me more nachos.  The game was pretty interesting. I got cold in what I wore during the second half so I used my Terrible Towel as a little blanket. Too bad I go to games so infrequently that I forget my tips about attire.  We stayed until the end of the game and then walked the 15 minutes back to our car. Traffic wasn't bad to get on 279 so it was all good. I was so exhausted when I got home and I went straight to bed.   I did have a busy day.  Dave wasn't too happy with me that I made him go to a picnic. Oh well. Last year I went to Sarah and Dave's picnic and stayed until midnight so I was a little disappointed about only being able to stay a little bit this year. I need to have a picnic but I fear it will suck and that I'll pick a bad day that nobody can come to anyway.  Maybe I'll have a picnic my birthday weekend.

8.4

Poly was peeping me take my daily picture from our second floor. It scares me when she stands like that, but it especially scared me when I was down below.
Outfit 1 (Above): For work
Outfit 2: For Pirate game. Cardigan removed.
Shirt and Cardigan: Kohl's
Skirt: Athleta
Sandals: Target
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Poly was still peeping when I got back inside.
I was busy at work. I had to hurry because I had to leave early to go to the NA-YGN tailgate and Pirate game.  I left a little after 3:30 to go to Costco and buy ice. Man was it hot outside.  I almost made it to the tailgate at 4:35 but made a wrong turn and had to loop way around and find my way to where I had to go. I hate driving.   Since my table and stuff were being used for the tailgate, I didn't end up going into the game until the 5th inning or so. As I was walking in was the inning that the Pirates scored 6 runs. I missed them all though
I was still so hot when I got home that I slept in shorts. I never sleep in shorts. I opened my closet door for something and Poly found a bag and had to go hide on it. I caught her peeping though.

8.7 - Family Fun

I had slept at my parents. The day started with a run.  Then after some time we went to Aurora's birthday party.
Aurora was so cute. She had a Yo Gabba Gabba themed party. I was so shocked at how many people that went to high school with me already have kids.  Aurora likes to eat tomatoes and cucumbers.  She would take them right off her mom's plate, but before she would take something she'd say please. Then after she ate it, she said thank you. Then after she ate all the tomatoes, she told us how she was nice. She is such a cute little 2 year old.   We had to leave the party early to go have some family time at my aunt's.
Jason buried Timmy with pillows. Then later buried Mike. It was funny.  He said they were in time-out.  We were there for a long time. We ate a few times. We all ate so much that we didn't think we could eat anymore then just a little bit later my cousin shows up and his wife had made pizza and wings. Therefore we had to eat again.
All the cousins got together. I made us get a family picture because we are never all together.  This might be the first time since April 1999 and we didn't even get a picture back then. Notice how my brother and I are both wearing plaid. That wasn't planned.  It also wasn't planned that we were right there in the front.

I don't look that short in these pictures. That is because I wore my wedges that have a 4" heel.  I'm actually surprised how similar in height my family looks because there is a 5 inch span between the shortest and tallest guy.
Good thing we got a few pictures because not all of them were the best. This is a nice outtake. Everyone looks good but me.
I didn't get home until 10:30 PM. Then Poly hung out with me.

So Friday I was gone almost all day.  Then Saturday I left at 10 AM. I didn't return until 10:30 PM Sunday night.  Dave wasn't with me all day Saturday or Sunday.  Dave didn't appreciate me ditching him all weekend but I told him he could have come with me. It was my last weekend before ditching him for my vacation. I sure know how to neglect a husband. Well usually this all doesn't happen at all let alone a few things close together.

(my skirt and shirt were from the Loft, sandals from Target, necklace from Walmart)

8.6 - Export Days

Before I left in the morning, Poly was hunting. She likes to sit on the TV stand and look out the side window.   I slept in shorts.  I rarely do that. I've probably only slept in them 6 times in the past 3 years.
I found these shorts on my closet floor. I have no idea when they are from. They are Mudd.
Shirt: Loft
Shoes: Target
Necklace & Earrings: Lia Sophia

Too bad Summer is almost over when I discovered these shorts. They fit so well.
Export
Export had their centennial celebration.  Export is such a small little town. They closed main street and had booths up.  They also had some stuff in the playground.  There were pictures and old things in a few of the office buildings too.  It was really fun seeing some of my Gram's old neighbors.  My dad and aunts knew more people than I did.
Petting Zoo
Export Playground
Some of us hung out in Jiggers. It was my first time in there. Timmy and Jared have gone before.  Aunt Nancy said that gram wouldn't let them go there when they were young.  She wants to make it a yearly tradition to go to Jiggers.
After Jiggers we went to my parents and then headed to Carson's for dinner.  Aunt Elaine is the worst follower. She went too slow and couldn't keep up.
We went to see the fireworks at 9:30 (well most of the family).
They started over 45 minutes late. It was getting crazy.  We had no idea why. Right before they started a helicopter flew over. I bet that's why they were waiting.  The fireworks lasted 30 minutes. I was impressed that such a little town had so many good fireworks.

Then I spent the night at my parents so that I could start my day without all the traveling.

7.31 - Pie

Shirt: Gap, Jeans: Indi, Shoes Target

I woke up and actually ran. While running and after I was thinking about how I should try to stay away from sweets so I crave them less. It has worked with my zebra cake addiction. I went a few days without them and now I haven't touched the box in the cupboard. But then at the same time, I thought how I wanted peanut butter pie just like Norwin Diner used to have. It's a peanut butter cream filling that is like a pudding with meringue on top. Oh so wonderful. Maybe 5 years ago, Dave and I made one. A few years before that (maybe 5 more), my mom made one once for me when I was having jaw troubles and couldn't chew. They were both wonderful. Nobody else seemed to like them.  Different recipes were used but the base did use a pudding mix.  I told Dave I thought we should make one. Then next thing you know, he wants to add chocolate. He doesn't want meringue. He's ruining my pie desire. He tells me my desire is crap. I don't want pie the other ways when I specifically want one like Norwin Diner had. If it was just random pie time, I might be OK.  I'm so annoyed.  Anyway we started making a pie that had a whipped topping versus meringue but the base might be pretty similar to the one I remember. It is thicker and didn't use pudding as a base.  It had to chill for 4 hours after we poured the batter in so we didn't get to make the topping and eat it.   I'm still mad about this.  I still want my pie. I wish restaurants had pie like this. I thick Dick's Diner does but I haven't been there in 10 years. K-Vays has it but only if that's what the baker felt like making that day. She switches up what pies she has.  I can order a pie and then that would be the day she also makes peanut butter pies for the restaurant.  I think I'm going to see if my parents can get me one of those for my birthday. Or my mom can make me one. Too bad my birthday is 2 months away.

Dave and I went to Five Guys for lunch prior to going to buy a pie pan and buy what ingredients we needed. Right before we are leaving for lunch, I'm outside taking my daily picture and I see Dave eating leftover pizza. He said it was past his lunch time so he was eating.  This annoyed me.  Everything seems to annoy me.   I mean I wanted to leave over an hour earlier but then there was pie recipe searching even though I found the one I wanted to make! So the wasted time recipe searching put us behind and we left for lunch so late. I was also mad because I hadn't even eaten since my run.

By the time we got home, it was 4:00.  We watched TV and I blogged.  By "watched TV" I mean Dave had some stupid Star Craft tournament going on the TV playing from the computer. He said a lot of it was epic. I swear he spent 20 hours total the entire weekend watching that crap.

Later we made pie.  Then back to watching TV.

I was exhausted from my running and just wanted to relax.

We ate leftover Pizza Hut for dinner. I also had salad.  I was still hungry later so I had some nachos. I was exhausted. Dave went upstairs since my show had 3 minutes left on it (Ice Road Truckers) and he was only willing to wait 1 minute. He watched his stupid Star Craft thing on the TV in our bedroom.   So when I went up 3 minutes later to read, I read though his noise. It was hard work. Those announcers were so annoying.  Now let me tell you that there is a 0% chance that Dave would let me have the TV on if he came upstairs to read. There is also only a 5% chance I could have the TV on in a room upstairs because it'd be too loud for his ears.

I figure I can complain all about Dave on here because he refuses to read my blog.  Also, he was rather annoying all day then gets mad that I am mean to him.  I did think it was nice of him to say OK when I said we should make pie. That was it. He also had me do stuff with the sprinklers even though he was home, but his Star Craft was just too important I guess.  He also made me endure watching that stupid Star Craft when we were downstairs. He also complained that the kitchen was a mess between stages of the pie making even though it was mainly because he leaves out all the ingredients he used.

8.5 - Productive Day

I wore many outfits.  First I ran. Then I put on this dress ans sandals (Target + Walmart).
Then I mowed the lawn and wore my shorts I got in 7th grade with my tank from Target.  I mowed the lawn.

Then I put back on the dress and my Target sandals.
I had a busy day so that I could tell people about how productive it was.
I ran, did some stuff, mowed the lawn, sewed my shirt, hemmed Dave's pants, and then went to my parents for their picnic.  Sewing was hard because Poly kept getting into everything.
I didn't know what to wear to my family picnic.  I always try to get Dave to help me but he never answers. So this time I picked out a bunch and put them all on the bed and asked Poly to pick.  She came over and crawled on the one she wanted.  Then I knew what to wear.  The problem was that she wouldn't get off of it.  It is funny that she picked the dress I had on earlier that day.

I didn't take any pictures at my parents house. All the cousins were there too and that rarely happens. Jason wanted to knock apples off the tree. Mike helped him out with that.  Then they threw all the apples into the woods.  It looked tiring.  I took these pictures standing as far from the edge of the deck as possible and then reached my hand out to get the pictures.
After we got home, Poly knew it was time to read so she held the book down so we would pay attention to her instead of paying attention to the book.

7.10 - Poly and Picnic

Where: Picnic
Skirt and shirt: Loft (2009)
Sandals: Target (2011)
Necklace: Kohl's
I went running in the morning. After the run I went to turn on the sprinkler and see this little kitty looking out my window.
After a few hours of analyzing data, I did some yoga. Poly definitely got in my way. I took her picture a few times.
Around 3, I went to a picnic for YPE. My date was a 2 year old because Dave wouldn't go.  The 2 year old was the host's son. He liked me.  He was tired by the end and almost took a nap on my lap.   It was very hot and humid. At least around 5:30 the entire back of the house was in the shade so it wasn't so bad.  It was hot and sticky in addition to sunny before that.
Since the picnic was an hour away (by the Meadows), I stayed until it was over. I figured I should make the drive worth it.
