Merry Christmas 2025

Similar to last year I made cards at Walmart and took screen shots of them but then I made cards in Canva too. This year I made 5 versions though. We have never taken the Christmas photos as late as we did this year.  I Forgot to take a screen shot of the red card so took a picture of it.

Liam - age 6, 1st grade
Miles - age 9, 3rd grade

Merry Christmas

I created 2 cards and ordered them from Walmart. The screenshots are the first 2 then I decided to make one in canva and make a blooper card. I figured I could text or email those.

Merry Christmas

Nobody reads this anymore and I don't post to it but I do like to look back at the yearly Christmas cards so I'm making that post.  This year I designed 2 cards and this one printed way off center. The other one printed better but I forgot to screen shot it.

Merry Christmas 2020

Instead of printing a 5x7 picture collage and using my own envelopes, I use 2 versions of the Costco cards. Costco decided to raise their prices a lot of 5x7 cards so that the pictures would be way more expansive than the cards and you get envelopes when you do cards.  I did 2 versions but just ordered a lot and mailed some people 2. I didn't repeat any pictures.  Last year I did 5 versions and this year just 2.  This year some people got a picture from 2010 that we mailed in our card back then too. I happened to find them in a photo envelope so I added them in.

Here are some links to old ones

2010 - One of 3 versions people may have gotten this year.
(I know I sent pictures in 2006 and 2007 but don't have a post with them. I'm unsure about the other years.)

I found a few old pictures but unsure if they are the final versions.

Photos every year seem to be the hold up in mailing cards. Getting photos with Dave.

1 SE December 2019

1 Second Everyday for December.  It's 67 seconds so clearly more than 1 second everyday.  It could be a max of 3 seconds a day.  1 second or 1.5 seconds a video and 1 or 2 videos a day.  If I could keep up with this it'd be less time consuming, but I never do.

Christmas Day 2019

We had a fun time on Christmas Day. I set up my phone to record video and set up Dave's ipad to record time lapse. But who has time to edit that! So here are a few screen shots. If I ever edit a video then I'll post that too.

Ella opened a dress then had to change her outfit.

Since my phone was in use I haded Dave too take some pictures. He took about 10.
Ella was so excited for her ear muffs.

Merry Christmas

 Merry Christmas

This year I made 5 versions of our Christmas card. I was going to do a pre-made design but they never allow enough pictures.  So I made my own. It was tricky getting them from all devices so I messed up and forgot the picture of Poly so then I had to rearrange.

I also mailed some additional collages in some people's cards.

I printed 91 cards. But then I ran out so I printed more. I had some issues with labels so I think I accidentally mailed some people 2. I know I mailed 2 people 2 but unsure if more.  I mailed 1 without a stamp so that came back. I guess mailing 2 is better than mailing an empty envelope like I did for my newborn announcement.

Merry Christmas

My hard drive died so I didn't have my normal programs to make a pretty collage. I used my laptop instead and used picasa instead of Photoshop. Also we didn't take family photos in front of the tree because Dave wouldn't pose until he had a hair cut but also wouldn't stop playing video games to get a hair cut when I offered. So this is what I managed to pull together.
Some people got some extra collages. Also some people got some preschool photos too. I mailed some preschool school pictures too.

I did make a few variations of the main collage but then realized after realized our name was far too small on them.

Festival of Lights Parade 11.25.18

We went to the Festival of Lights Parade in Los Altos that we went to 2 years ago. The kids loved it. I can't believe how much Miles liked it.  This video is long but just listen to Miles throughout it.

It's started at 6. We parked at 5:10 and walked over and got there at 5:30.  It kept getting more and more crowded. I can't believe we managed to get seats on the edge of the sidewalk so it wasn't standing the entire time.

Tree Silhouette

I took a picture in front of the tree with a silhouette then I wanted to make it a yearly thing. I've managed but they aren't all that good.

2013, 2014, and 2015 were in a post before.

The quality of photos has sure gone downhill over the years but I still try to take them.

Christmas Concert (12.16.16)

The first group that went was the oldest class. Then they worked their way to the youngest group.  Ella's group sang 2 songs. I didn't know either song.  Ella didn't see us at first. I couldn't see her from my seat so I moved to the aisle at one point to take a picture. Ella saw me and yelled "Ms. Dana, my mommy's here."  Dave and I looked at each other and laughed.  Then a minute later she saw Dave and said the same thing about him.  Once all 4 classrooms went individually they all sang together. Well Ella was back sitting with us at this point so she didn't sing with the group.  Ella didn't actually sing at all but was with her class at least.   She didn't flip out when she saw me so that's an improvement.  I was trying to use my fancy camera. Then I swapped to my phone. Both were difficult while holding Miles.

There was an agenda but I lost mine so I didn't know the song list after. I wanted to list it here.
