Photography - Divya's Maternity Photos

On March 9, I took maternity photos for Divya.  I took some back in August for Angie so now I've done it twice.  These were at a different location last time. I was very pregnant last time and this time I had a 6 month old with me.
Taking pictures was so fun. Miles was in his carrier at first and we took some.  Then when Divya changed outfits, I transitioned Miles to the Ergo and wore him for the rest of the pictures.
We spent less than an hour taking pictures.  We got so many good ones. Divya had a tough time narrowing it down.
I edited a few pictures but not many.  I did notice that when wearing Miles some of the pictures I took were slightly crooked. When I edited, I tended to make a collage comparison to see the difference easier.
I really like the little break to take the photos and the break from my normal routine to edit or crop a few pictures. I should do this more!
There are many more pictures I like but I just decided to share a couple of them.
Here's a comparison of her photoshoot with her first daughter. I didn't really edit the pic just brightened slightly so the color of the dresses looked more similar.

Taking photos is so fun. Every time I do it, I think I should do it more.   I am taking Ella's preschool class photos again tomorrow (Wednesday).

2.6.17

Miles was up a few times in the night.  When he woke up near 5 he slept on me until 7 when he was up for good for the day.   Well he was up at 1:30 and was nursing an insanely long time and I fell asleep in the chair. I woke up at 3 and went back to my bed.  So I got to sleep in my bed from 3-4 AM.  The amount of time I'm sleeping in the chair is insane. It's not that comfortable.
We woke Ella up to get her ready for school.
We hung out with Ella. Miles and Ella hung out in bed for a bit.
He was really tired and wanted to go to sleep but I had to get Ella ready.  She was being so difficult.

Finally at 9 he got to go to sleep. He slept an hour but it was on me!   He had a blowout so then I had to put in laundry to clean his sleep sack.

Then from 10-11:30, I cleaned hardcore. Miles was not happy. He would fuss, whine, and cry.  I would clean some holding him and put him down some.  I got so much clean but had so much left.

He napped 11:30-12:15 on me!   Then I was back to cleaning.
At 12:45, I ate lunch and tried to feed him baby food at the same time. He did not like it and wasn't happy. Then when I was done eating and got to focus my attention on him, he was all smiles.

He napped 2-3:30 on me as well.

I did some knee exercises. I cleaned up some extra stuff.

Dave offered to pick Ella up since his all day thing was over a little earlier than he normally works. I didn't have to leave the house. Miles was able to catnap on me.  When they got home I tried to put him in the crib but that failed.

Ella and I did more of my knee exercises.  We watched some TV.  (We had eaten McD's when Dave first got home.)

Miles was so tired so we started bedtime early.  It was before 7.  Ella was so noisy he had so many issues nursing.  Then finally he fell asleep. He was in the crib a half hour before he woke up.   Then I was back in there with him. He falls asleep almost immediately after I pick him up and he's nursing.   He woke up transferring to the crib. I figured that was as good a time as any to try the Ferber Method of sleep training.  It was pretty awful hearing him cry. Dave had on Star Wars for Ella.  We let her stay up until he was actually asleep so that she didn't have issues trying to sleep hearing him cry and also so her noise didn't trigger his silence to go to crying again.    He was asleep at 9:46. (I already did a post about the sleep training.)

I went into bed at 10 after doing some bedtime with Ella.  I watched some Switched at Birth. I kept checking my monitor. I couldn't fall asleep. I even stopped Netflix and still couldn't fall asleep. Miles woke up at 2 AM and I was still up!

1.3.17

Ella and Miles are always hanging out in bed when I go to wake Ella up. Having Miles there helps Ella actually wake up.

A friend was going to Safari Run so we decided to go too. We got there and they were at capacity so we had to wait over 20 minutes to get in. A few other friends just happened to be there too.  Dave was there so we could go. I can't climb with Ella when I have Miles and am there by myself.

Miles slept a good portion of the trip. Then when he woke up, I went and fed him while Ella played more on the ground with Dave.

It was pretty high up there!

As you can tell, Ella loved it.  It was worth the $10. We don't do stuff like that often so we just paid for that day. I know sometimes you can get a groupon for so many visits or you can get deals by buying passes.
When we were leaving some kids were playing in the grass so Ella wanted to run with them too.
We went to Tia Juana for lunch. Ella didn't want her food. The kids weren't that good. Restaurants are tough business.

Ella wanted candy they have but then she coked on it. That wasn't fun at all.  It was in her throat but she could still breath. She talked about it hurting but slowly feeling better. (I'm writing this 2 months later. I can't remember exactly what happened.) She wanted mommy hugs after which is why Dave is holding Miles in the pic below.

Some pics of Miles's body.

We had the appointment with the specialist.  We learned it's Eczema and got 4 prescriptions.
Miles needs daily baths then hydrocortisone ointment on face. Then needs a different ointment on rest of his body. Then after that a moisturizing cream. The soap in bath and the cream are special cream. Also mix some steroid cream with the other ointments. Benedryl at least at night and even during the day. Detergent has to be free & clear ones and no dryer sheets and no fabric softener. Use a humidifier too!

I had issues filling the prescriptions. They said he wasn't covered on the insurance. It was a big mess and later we figured out Google made a mistake and didn't copy him over right.

I actually didn't get the prescriptions but then the next day I paid for the prescriptions out of pocket then later we could figure out the insurance and pay less.
Ella likes to play peek-a-boo with Miles.

Apparently Miles only wears socks... 2 pairs but no clothes!
