12.15 JCP

Shirt: F21, Blazer: NY&Co, Necklace: Lia Sophia, Jeans: F21 (they suck and the pant leg seam always rotates a full 90 degrees after just a few steps), Boots: DSW (b.o.c), Purse: JCP (Details on the clothes. You can click on the articles and see when I bought them and such)   I wanted to switch purses but Dave told me I didn't have time before we left. He also loves purple and red together.  The purse looks brighter here than in person.
We had a lengthy to-do list but didn't end up getting out of bed until 10am.

We went to recycling. Later we realized we forgot to take all of the newspaper. At least we got rid of all the cans and bottles. We had 4 boxes of that stuff.
We went to Chick Fil A because Dave read Jen's blog post and it made him want a Chocolate Peppermint Milkshake.  The line was out the door.  That place has been open for months and it is still packed.
Next we went to Southland Mall to hit up JCP to find a jacket for Dave and to buy a vacuum belt from Sears.  The JCP didn't have any jackets in the big and tall section. There were racks and racks of normal people size jackets.  Next we decided to go to another mall.  We went to one we hadn't been to before.  We had to pay $5 to cross the bridge to get there. How sad.  We went to the Shops at Tanforan.  That JCP was a lot better but still had a poor selection of coats.  They had a lot more of everything else so Dave got a few shirts.  (Dave just tried things on over his shirt just out there in the shopping area. Another guy was doing the same thing. I guess that's quicker than going into the fitting room plus all the rooms in there were taken anyway the one time Dave tried to go in.)  I kept taking his picture as he tried things on. He didn't seem to appreciate it.
I even found a pair of skinny jeans.  I could have possibly found 2 if the Levi's ones weren't the style with holes. But at least now I know the size and style.
We spent so much time shopping that on the way home we stopped at Whole Foods. We were going to buy chicken to cook but decided to just buy precooked turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I had green beans at home.
We watched TV and ate. Then we watched Groundhog Day.  Then Dave put on a chick flick, The Rebound.  Almost the entire time I was working on my new clothes database. I was entering clothes.  It was more challenging than I thought because even though I had an excel file with some clothes purchases, I didn't fill out the size on that file. I was running to my closet a lot to check sizes. I was also doing research to figure out when I bought certain things because not everything was in my excel file.  I was pretty good at figuring things out. I'd also go through my calendar site figuring out the first time I wore something.  That helped a lot.   Dave warned me that this database is not backed up now.  This worries me because in the past I started databases of where I bought certain things and I've lost it 3 times for 3 separate reasons.   Dave and I ended up staying up past 1am.  I haven't even been staying up that late but Dave really hasn't.

3.7 - Car Battery

I want more blazers like this. Well I want more similar but would prefer the sleeves to be longer and there not to be shoulder padding.
I telecommuted.
At lunch we pushed my car out of the garage so we could jump it on the street. We headed to Advanced Auto Parts to get a new battery. Then hit up Wendy's on the way home. I had a frosty in addition to food. No wonder I've gained 6 lbs in the past 10 days.

After work, I went to Body Pump.  I used extremely low weights for squats and lunges because of my knee. I was shocked how easy the rest of the class seemed with my normal weights. I guess the slight break for the 2 leg tracks really helped out.  On the shoulder track I used more weight for overhead presses than I've used in probably 1.5 years.
We watched more Dexter and then Rachel Maddow.  I never get enough Dexter in.  Once we got caught up on our recording for Rachel, I went upstairs to watch it and work. I had to work to prep for meetings since I didn't have any time the following day.  I ended up watching Rachel, Lawrence, and Ed. I worked far too long.

April 15 - Blazer

All things are multiple years old except the belt and shoes are a few months old.
Note top left picture = me in a parking garage. The wind was blowing the camera so I didn't chance any more pictures.
I cant think of a single thing that didn't work. I did forget to put on earrings but that was fine too.
I wish the shirt was a little longer. Mainly in the arm pit region. That's what I get for buying petite.
I need to incorporate this blazer more into my work attire. I think I only ever wear it with these jeans except maybe once or twice. I bought this blazer when they were on sale at the end of the season. They only had 2. They also only had 2 skirts. The sizes weren't anywhere near each other so I don't have the full suit to this.

I have liked the casual blazer look for a few years. Now I see them all the time.
Dave had a doctor appointment downtown and since he would be getting his eyes dilated, I drove.  This was the view from the parking garage. This was taken with my point and shoot camera through the windshield.
Our neighbors are covering their back patio
I was cleaning for my guests to visit and Poly went and sat where my garbage can usually is.

I took a 2 hour nap. I did not exercise. I did mow the lawn but I do not count that as exercise. Back when we didn't have a self propelled it was exercise.

Monday, January 24

Skirt: Athleta - This is the first time I wore it. (10/19/10)
Shirt: Macy's (I wore this shirt last week)
Blazer: Express (old)
Boots: VS (new boots! - 1/20/11)
Necklace: F21

What didn't work: The skirt was too casual (athletic) for any and all tops I have.  The color goes in theory.

What worked: The boots are awesome. They are tall but still seemed very appropriate at work.
On our way home from work we went to Olive Garden.  I got salad and the cheese fonduta appetizer as my meal. I ate 2.5 bowls of salad and all the cheese fondue plus extra bread.
I did not work out and I just hung out with Poly while watching TV (plus some blogging later so I stayed up too late.)
