1.28 and 1.29

I started the day running a 5k.  Here are 2 official photos that include me. In the winter I feel like I look way worse than in the summer in running photos.
After the 5k, I didn't do much.  I had variety for lunch. The variety consisted of 2 kinds of peanut butter sandwiches.
1.29
I ran 10 miles in the morning.  I got dressed but can't remember where I went.  I think we went to Campecinos and then Giant Eagle. Oh now I remember.  Giant Eagle was packed.  I hated it. It stressed me out. I couldn't even navigate the card around.  There were too many people.  This also didn't help my sore feet issues. I would take pictures of things and text them to my brothers. (see some of them below)
In addition to being packed the renovations were done and it is really fancy inside now.  Also they had some cooking demonstration going on and people sitting there taking pictures/videos on their cell phones.
I got a new mask thing for when I run outside, but it smells like factory so I'm not sure if I will actually be able to use it.
Look how swollen my plantar fascia is.

Sweater & Cami: Express
Pants: VS
Shoes: Connie via Famous Footwear
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Poly slept with me and then I got up and she still slept there.
I got my root canal.  It was nothing like I expected.  There was a lot of testing to make sure the tooth I was complaining about was the tooth they were about to do the root canal on.  The dentist got a piece of ice and held it with little tweezer things and rubbed it on my teeth one at a time to make sure the one that made me flinch like crazy is the one that he was going to work on.  The dentist also sings a lot during the entire process. He takes songs that everyone would know (but me because I don't know music) and then changes out the words to dentist stuff or stuff going on in the office. That's the best part about him.   The dentist said my root canal is perfect so I made him explain what a bad root canal would look like on the x-ray.

I took my picture when the dentist left the room at one point. I took pictures of my x-rays twice.  I sent an email when the dentist stepped out too.  I wonder if people normally do this.

I got called back over 15 minutes late and I kept falling asleep in the waiting room. What is it about waiting rooms that make me so tired and I fall asleep.  People tend to look at me weird when they see me sleeping.

Have you ever had a root canal? Did you get a crown or a temporary crown?
I got home and tried to take my pill because I forgot at lunch and when I heard liquid hit the floor, I realized I wasn't swallowing it all.  My shirt also ended up all wet. No good.

I watched TV. I used the exercise bike for a short time. I rested and went to sleep early.

11.20 (After the Marathon)

Cardigan, Cami, Jeans: Express
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Shoes: my running shoes
After the marathon we chilled in our hotel room. Then we went to dinner. We ended up trying this new place. The cheesesteak was purely amazing. We even only ended up there using yelp for pizza within a couple miles from where we were and it was on there.  Those cheese fries were good and cheap.  The pizza wasn't that good though.

After dinner, it was back to relaxing.  I went to sleep by 9pm.

12.9

Shirt and Cami: Express (both outfits)
T-shirt: Free from the Science Center
Pants: Express
Jeans: Express
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Necklace: Lia Sophia

Running shoes were worn in outfit 1 but I forgot to take my picture before removing them.

I woke up bright and early to get to the science center by 7am.  Dave and I were judging the Chain Reaction Contraption contest.  That was very tiring.  It was very interesting to see what the kids came up with.  This year their contraption had to play a musical instrument.
We were done a little after 11 since we only volunteered for half a day.  We went to Campesinos for lunch on the way home. We got home and decided to rest for 15 minutes. I set my alarm for 15 minutes. We turned on West Wing. Well before I knew it, I was asleep. My alarm went off and I kept resetting it for 15 minutes.  One of the times I forgot to hit start before I fell back to sleep.   When I woke up it was 2 hours later and I noticed Dave asleep on the other couch. (Poly was napping too.)

Instead of cleaning or whatever we should have been doing to prepare for my family Christmas party, I decided I had too much to do so I wouldn't do any of it. That's how I work.  I watched some TV and used my computer to catch up on cropping pictures for my blog. I was a few weeks behind and I had to catch up some time.

12.6 - Vacation Day

Jeans: express
Cami: Express
Sweater: VS

The color of this sweater is too light for my liking but I've kept it. Well the sleeves were pretty tight so now I decided I'm finally getting rid of it.  It is a very warm sweater but if I kept it, I wouldn't even wear it for another couple years.

I was going to take vacation.  Then I was going to take a half day vacation and telecommute the first party of the day.
After 7 straight hours of working, I realized I messed up. I didn't stop to eat breakfast or lunch or anything. (At 10:43, my neighbors get a big package.  I see it arrive at 10:43. The sign on the truck said it arrives by 10:30 or delivery is free.

Then I went downstairs to eat. I did the dishes. Then I took a nap.  Then it was back to work.  I didn't do a good job cleaning up.  Dave got home a bit after 5. He didn't call or warn me when and then I made dinner. Nothing like last minute.
Around 6:30 my Stampin' Up class started.   We would have been done around 9 but then we talked until a bit after 10. Oh boy.   Then I was finishing up some of the stamping stuff for some supplies to pack up for people. I didn't actually finish it all and decided to head to bead.

My throat started hurting. Sigh.

11.17

Pants: VS
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Cami: Express
Cardigan: NY&Co
Necklace: Lia Sophia

The last day of work before vacation days is the worst. I got to work at 6:45 because I knew I had a lot to do.  I worked all day. I didn't even eat lunch. I had it sitting on my desk but my 1:45 meeting prep and the thought of the meeting was stressing me out.

I wanted to leave work by 4:30 but that didn't happen.
I had to rush home. I was trying to get out of work and my phone, IMs, and emails were going. I just couldn't get out of the place. I had stuff that had to get done.   I didn't get out until 4:45 or so. Traffic was bad.  I got home around 5:20 and I had until 6 to prep all the food, clean up, and set up the table for the Stampin' Up party.
Oh was it all stressful. I didn't even have time to snack until everyone came.   I had 4 crackers  up until 6pm.  I felt so thirsty and realized I didn't drink a think all day either.  I couldn't find the cheese spread. I fear I threw it away by mistake even though it was brand new. I don't know what else could have happened to it.

There were many stressful things preparing for the party and getting ready but most people didn't seem to notice the things that didn't go smoothly.  We had 9 total people at the class. There should have been 10 but one person had to cancel at the last minute.  9 was a lot to have too.

Finally at 9:30 everyone was gone and it was time to relax a little.  Dave and I watched a little TV and fell asleep.

8.2

I used my color wheel this morning.
Pants: Gap, Skirt: Express, Necklace: Kohl's, Shoes: Aldo, Cami: Express

If I sleep in too long, it is too bright in the morning and I don't get good pictures.

I broke my rules and wore bone shoes with a white cami.  My white dress shoes are sling backs and don't work well with pants. I put them on and took 2 steps out of my closet and already couldn't stand them.
Dave not only left the grill cover off but left the grill opened after dinner the night before.
Poly was spying on me while I took my daily picture.
Poly napped on me in the morning. I hit snooze or so I thought but then I slept for another 20 minutes with no alarm. Oops.
We had peanut butter pie again. The filling seemed to have disappeared. It also didn't stay in pie form very long.   Now I have even more of a desire to get peanut butter pie like I originally wanted.
Poly thinks she owns the place.

4.18

Cardigan: NY&Co (Nov 2010)
Cami: NY&Co (January 2009)
Pants: Express (2008)
Necklace: F21 (2010)
Belt: Target (2011)

I woke up with a stomach ache again.  I also woke up after sleeping an hour.  I functioned surprisingly well at work. I wasn't going to eat lunch but then at the end of my meeting I ate a sandwich. Then my stomach got a little upset. Silly me for eating.

I came home ate dinner while watching TV. Dinner was half a sleeve of saltine crackers and then some potato chips. (Chips weren't the best choice.)  Then I watched TV and fell asleep almost right away.  I fell asleep at 7:15 on the couch. Dave woke me up to go upstairs at 8:30 and I went right to sleep. He kept trying to talk to me and show me things. I tried to tell him that if he makes me think, then I wake up more then I wouldn't fall right to sleep. He thought that was crazy. It is true.

Thursday, April 14

Shirt: VS - 2010
Cami: Express - 2009
Pants: Express - 2009 ($44)
Shoes: Famous Footwear ($8.50)
Necklace: Charlotte Russe

I was getting fitted for orthotics before work so couldn't wear a work because dealing with pantyhose and a skirt would not work.
I didn't realize until I got to work that my pants were too short with these shoes.  They did the hover thing while I was walking. You can only slightly tell in these pictures.

I was picking out my clothes before I went to bed and thought blue pants would match better but they were in the laundry room (clean) but I was too lazy to go get them so I wore black.

I wore the same shoes 2 days in a row that I went to work and I'm sure nobody noticed.
After work I used the dixie cup icing my knee method. That ice sure melts. I used a dish towel to soak up all the water that drips off my leg.

April 12, 2011

Shirt: NY&Co. - February 2010 (I sewed the hips on this shirt.)
Cami: Express - 2009
Pants: VS - January 2009
Shoes: Famous Footwear - $8.50 - April 2011
Necklace: Lia Sophia

I went to Body Pump for the first time in ages. I went before work so I had to pack my clothes and take them with me. In the shower, I realized I left my button-down shirt in the car. At least I had the cami. I put my hoodie on over the cami and headed to the car. I drove over to building 4 and parked in a spot that people didn't see in my car and then I put it on.

The front and sides of this shirt are awesome but my torso is too short so then it bunches up when it hits my butt. Or my butt is too large so it sticks out.  Still it looks better than the before picture.  I realized a lot of my outfits look awful from the back but I just don't know it so I've started taking pictures so I can see what they look like and perhaps alter the outfit the next time (like I've belted a cardigan the next time I wore it).  Do you ever notice something you like or dislike about an outfit after you look at the outfit photos days later?
I can't leave Poly out of this post.

Day 28 - March 8 - Everybody Everywhere Day

Since I'm still in my 30 for 30, I had to go with an accessory with polka dots and the only thing I have is tights.
Boots: Famous Footwear, Cardigan: B Moss, Cami: Express, Skirt: F21,
Tights: Target, Necklace: Lia Sophia
I did a little jumping for the Everybody Everywhere day.
Jumping is hard work to time the picture properly. It is also hard work to not make the weirdest facial express. It also messes up your shirt so it is too high on your body.

Now to get this post up I had to upload my pictures at home this morning, crop them at home, make the collage at home. Therefore, I got to work a good 30 minutes later than I normally do.

Don't forget to join me for Color Rotation Challenge starting March 15.

Polka Dots | Everybody, Everywear

Daily Update: I got to work later than normal so I had to stay later. This would greatly impact my gym schedule. I thought I could run at lunch. Well I was wrong. I had a meeting 12-1 and another one 2-3:30 (and one 2:30-3 and one 3:00-3:30).  We have core hours that end at 3:30 so I thought I could get a run in after the 3:30 meeting and go back to work.  Well the last meeting actually ended at 4:10. I was headed over to change to run and realized pilates starts at 4:30 so I should just go to that. Also it was pretty chilly outside without the sun so I wasn't sure about an outside run. I thought I had enough time to run 1 mile and then do pilates. I was wrong. I would have had about 4 minutes but people get to class early and I didn't want the spots to be gone so I just went to pilates. Then I decided to run on the treadmill after class.  I got the last treadmill. Then all these people came in looking like they wanted a treadmill. It was too much pressure for me.  I stopped at 1.5 miles (13:15). But during that time I the weather report told me to get outside today and enjoy it because there will be a wintry mix the next 3 days (out of the three day forecast). Boy was I bummed. I guess at least I got a workout in.   So my workout counting stretching and cleaning up was 50 minutes.  I then showered (and put on my outside running clothes) and went back to work. I didn't do my makeup at all. I only brushed my hair and threw it up in a hair claw. I didn't dry it one bit.  I was gone from my cube for 1:45. That meant I had to stay even later.  I did end up staying at work even later than I had to. I left at 8pm. The janitor came to me around 7:30 saying it was official that I was the last person there.

I came home and ate some dinner. I reheated my leftovers from On The Border while watching Detroit 1-8-7.  Then Dave came downstairs and we watched The Event. Then it was 9:30 and we headed to bed. I read until I fell asleep reading.

Day 21: February 24

Cardigan: B. Moss, Skirt: NY&Co, Boots:Steve Madden through VS, Tights: We Love Colors, Cami: Express, Necklace: Kohl's.

I think pantyhose would have been better for this outfit or maybe to have a darker blue necklace.

What would you have done to improve this outfit?

This is the outfit that I picked out in the dark that I tweeted about.  I ended up not going to the gym because if I was to run a 10 mile race on the weekend I should have 2 rest days plus I shouldn't lift for the first time in 10 days or I would be sore.
All of my pictures turned out like crap. Look at the picture above and see how the camera focused on the house across the street and how I'm all blurry.  This is why sometimes a remote is not the best thing.  My remote will focus but when you hit the button, it focuses on whatever it feels like.

My day at work was spent mainly dealing with computer problems.  When I finally left work, I picked up Pizza Hut on the way home.
I was hungry and kind of ate some on the way home. I love this new dippers pizza (or whatever it is called. I couldn't even find it on Pizza Hut site just now.) Who knew knew if you removed all sauce from pizza that it would make it wonderful. I did not use any of those cups of sauce.

I didn't actually leave work until 7:30 so by the time I ate it was practically bedtime. I did watch some TV though.

30 for 30 Winter Edition: Day 17: February 19

Cami: Express
Cardigan: Target
Pants: Indi
Boots: Steve Madden via VS
Necklace: Walmart

The length of cardigans compared to the length of camisoles never works out right. I never notice an issue on anyone else so either they know how to work them right or it is just something I don't notice.

Dave took my daily pictures.  My heels kept sinking into the lawn.

Dave likes to store stuff in Poly's bed. I complain every time I see it and move the stuff onto his desk. Maybe he will learn one of these days.
We mounted the TV in Dave's office.  We even went and bought a conduit thing to hide the cords.
I had a specific request to store the cable box on top of that little shelf. That's Poly's favorite place to sleep in his room so I wouldn't let him put it somewhere that she couldn't sleep on it.
Poly is always so cute while we watch TV.
I used the exercise bike for 30 minutes.  30 minutes is better than nothing but worse than the long run I should have done.

30 for 30 Winter Edition: Day 12 (February 12) - Happy Birthday

Boots: VS
Jeans: Indi
Cami: Express
Cardigan: B Moss
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Earrings: Target (put on right after the photos)
Belt: Target
At first Dave was standing uphill from me and taking the pictures. I knew they would turn out crazy so then I swapped positions with him. Just look at the difference.  Most of the time  his eight difference is enough to ruin the pictures.  I quickly threw this on about 5 minutes before leaving the house to go to a birthday party.
I had an extensive to do list. Of course I barely got to any of it. I also watched some TV. Poly was on my lap and super cute so I couldn't get up and be productive. She didn't want me to.
Dave took a nap and I took his picture. This reminds me of college. He never naps anymore so I never get any good pictures.
While Dave was napping, Poly thought she should rest in her bag.
While doing laundry, I looked outside and saw our recycle bin in the street.  They never picked up recycling and ours is always so full.  I went out and picked it up. I left it outside because all the neighbors still had theirs up.
I folded some laundry and then looked outside again and it was blown over again.  This time I didn't go pick it up.
The next thing I know, the neighbor, Art, is picking up our recycle bin and putting the cardboard back in it that had blown out.
Then it was off to Jason's birthday party. I didn't think Dave would go because he never wants to go anywhere. Plus he has been busy and we only got the invite for this party 2 days earlier and I actually didn't even learn what place the party was at until that morning. Talk about last minute! And another thing, I only learned about the party 4th hand. I just want to say that I think that is rude. If I'm invited and you want a gift out of me, at least tell me yourself. Don't have your mother tell my father who tells my mother who tells me. Then have to have my family talk to your mother again because all the information wasn't even provided. The "kids" went to Chuck E Cheeses prior to this party. My mom heard people talking about that at the Super Bowl Party yet nobody told them then about a party after. Can you tell I'm a little angry here.  I remember when I was in 5th grade, they invited us to my cousin's birthday party on a Thursday and his party was on that Friday. And the party was 1 month before his birthday. Yes I remember this. I freak out when I don't give people two full weeks notice about something.  Also when I had a party, I called my cousin myself to invite him (and he told me he and his family would come and they did not.)  The time after that I had a party and I told my cousin about it in person. Then I tried to confirm with his wife via facebook and she ignored me... yet you could tell she was on because she had farmville updates or whatever those games are that people update about.  I couldn't find out if they were coming until the day before. (Having 11 or 14 matters to me with how much food I wanted to buy/needed to buy.)  OK I'm done with my rant.

Anyway, Jason turned three.
He got a fishing rod aka a weapon he was swinging around.
I don't know who that other kid is but he did run by me a lot hitting me in the arm with his little wrestler toy saying it was biting me. I barely saw Jason at all.  We left around 9:00 PM because we like to go to sleep and we had an hour+ drive home.  Well apparently even though the entire time Jason was there, he didn't care about me at all, that once I left, he kept asking for me.  Figures.
While I was occupying myself at the party, I saw some roses so I took some pictures.  I also took off the sticker that my aunt still had on their new TV. It was one of those stickers at the bottom that tells you some of the features.

After we got home, Dave and I started watching the Flex DVD they gave us. It was silly and described extremely basic things so then I fell asleep.

I missed my workout for the day. :(
