5.17 - Poly was cute again

Sweater: Express (2009)
Pants: Express (2008) (I have these same pants in a smaller size but now I'm back to wearing the bigger ones)

The pants are a little short to wear with heels but they are also a little big so it kind of works out. If I pull them up the whole way they look awful with heels but sitting a little lower they are OK.

It was pretty chilly.  It is the middle of May. I shouldn't have to wear a sweater.

Poly tried to sabotage Dave's clothes like she always does with mine.  She didn't know he changed his mind on what to wear and wasn't wearing these.

I packed my leftover tuna salad for lunch and gave Poly the rest of the tuna that I was saving for her.

At work, I broke my long thumbnail. Sad times. It was so long that I got out my measuring tape to measure it. Now who does that? (I bet it's only me. Nobody else is that weird.)

I brought my bags upstairs to pack them up properly. Poly sure knows how to sit on my gym bag when I want to pack it.  Also she found my ponytail holders that are on my key ring.

Day 14 - Blue (3/30/11) - Allergy Shot

 I hear bootcut jeans are coming back in style but I didn't even know it left.

I wanted to take a vacation day but didn't since I was telecommuting.

Around 2:00 I got a phone call from my allergy doctor. Apparently they don't like it when you haven't had an allergy shot in 12 weeks. I'm supposed to get them every 2-4 weeks.  They threatened that if I didn't come in that I would have to go back to weekly shots. Well I can't even get there monthly. I need a new doctor.  I want to keep my allergy doctor and have a new regular doctor give me the shots. For 2+ years I have been saying I need a new regular doctor but now I really do because my regular doctor left the practice.

So I figured I better go get that shot. I called my mom to see if they wanted to go to dinner. They did. We went to Carino's (formerly branded as Johnny Carino's). Man I love that place. The Italian Chili is the best soup ever.  I may have had to loosen my belt while eating.

I got my shot. They had to back me way down and my arm didn't get all that swollen and I didn't have severe allergy reactions after.  I wonder how far built up you have to be for these shots before you can quit going.

I used the exercise bike for 17 minutes (I had only that amount of time and figured something was better than nothing).
At 8:00 PM Dave and I lifted weights for 45 minutes. My workout really fatigued his legs.  It's the 4th day in a row I worked out with Dave in some way.  He walked Saturday after I did my race.  I can't remember prior to that. This might be a new trend that I like seeing.

We watched American Idol and I could barely stay awake for the end. I voted via text for a few people.  Do you watch American Idol? Who is your favorite. I like James and Scotty. Dave does not like Scotty at all.

Check out where she decided to sleep. She was on some of my junk but tried kicking it out of the way so I went and moved the papers out of her way.

February 26

On February 26, I was supposed to run a race and that didn't happen. I was also supposed to go bowling and that did not happen.

Since I was supposed to go bowling my jeans in my 30 for 30 wouldn't work since they are too long for bowling shoes.  So I just decided to break my 30 for 30 totally.  And I didn't end up going bowling anyway.

Poly found some sun and wanted to sunbathe. She's cute.

Instead of bowling and dinner, we just went to dinner. There were supposed to be 6 of us but it ended up being 4. We tried out the new restaurant near us. Luchiano's was very good. After dinner, Dave and I went grocery shopping. Then after that we got Dairy queen. Look at how not full my blizzard was. What a rip off.

After we got home we watched TV and ate our Blizzards.  Poly went to sleep on me so I couldn't get up to put about half my Blizzard in the freezer for later so I ate it all. I think this is the first time I ate an entire Blizzard. I pretty much felt like I was going to throw up after it (plus the dinner).

My day's worth of twitter posts didn't seem to work so I had to test my memory and write about my day without my tweets to help me. It was more challenging.   Sunday's tweets didn't go to my blog either. Monday they did. If I would have realized this sooner, I could have gone to twitter and copied and pasted but it is too hard to get old tweets on Twitter. They should change that.

January 27 - Ugh

I have on a lace cami under the sweater because I remember how it stretches down as the day goes on and I didn't want to be giving anyone a show by the end of the day.

What didn't work: wearing this skirt while wearing a coat and a backpack. With each step, the skirt was getting higher and higher. Good thing my skirt went to my knees but still it didn't fully close in the front so I had to be careful.

What else didn't work was that this skirt looks a different color based on the lighting and that kind of freaks me out. It is a tan/taupe, or it is a gray, but then today it was also a khaki green in some lighting.  I never know how to wear this thing. I thought I knew because Brie told me, but now I'm all afraid again.

Today was an awful day at work. My computer seemed to hate me. My meetings were spread out but not spread out enough to get anything done in the middle. I didn't get to run. I didn't go to yoga. I went to Body Pump but now my lower back hurts.

I didn't even take a single picture of Poly today. That is sad.  I did watch American Idol while Poly was napping on my lap. I also watched Criminal Minds but while watching that, she was sleeping on Dave.  Either she didn't like me so she left or she didn't want to play favorites so she snuggled with both of us.

I feel like there is more to say, but I can't figure out what.
