I woke up to Poly sleeping on the pillow at the foot of the bed. I even got up and started doing things before I took the picture.  She is so cute.

Dave and I walked to Target. Then we discovered we were buying too much so we just went all out and Dave walked home to get the car.  After that I walked to Trader Joe's for some broccoli. I bought the pre-cut stuff because I didn't want to deal with such long stems.  I made a rice, cheese, and broccoli frozen thing and added 1/2 lb of broccoli to it. I didn't even finish it all. Dave got went and picked up pizza and had that.  I'm pretty sure we watched TV the rest of the day.

(The sweater is more of a violet. It looks extra blue in this photo.)  I got 2 compliments on my shoes. I think this is the 3rd time I wore them so now I'm down to just under $30/wear. I need to wear them more!
I was so tired this morning but I also kept hitting snooze until Dave was out of the shower so I wouldn't be waiting around after I woke up. (When I was putting on my knee highs Poly climbed up on my lap. I was basically forced to sit there and pet her for awhile.) I got to work by 7:45.  I was busy with meetings. The day flew by.  My emails went over the size limit and I had to spent over 10 minutes cleaning out emails/archiving the large files just to get it down enough for the emails in my outbox to send.  The limit at work really sucks.  I waste so much time just moving and deleting emails than I should. It's awful.

Today I showed up 12 minutes late to a 30 minute meeting and I got there and feel like I didn't miss a thing.

I also called into a meeting 7 minutes late and still had to wait 9 more minutes for the person to open the call in number.   Meetings are awful but then meetings where the people running them are late are the worst.

I wanted to leave work early. I did not. I left at 5:45.  I got home before Dave because he was working late for once and then he went to the gym.  I got to crop a few pictures while waiting for him. I also got to have my new idea fail and then snag it stopped working the way I thought and any time I'd insert text it'd end up disappearing. I don't get it.  I gave up.

I had Chick-fil-a salad again. It is pretty good.
We watched American Idol, Smash, and then MSNBC.   While watching TV, I was lying down on the chair and a half. Lying down is a little hard on a chair but I make it work.  But then Poly decided to jump up and sleep in my nest.  She was too cute so I suffered with my legs half falling off the edge. I did throw in some laundry to be a little productive.

Picking out my clothes Monday night really helped. I was able to get ready so fast.  I made it to work before 7:30.   I had a normal super busy day at work.

I really tried to leave at 4 but too much was going on.  I ended up leaving at 4:20 and heading to meet Jen to run.  At least I texted her a few times about how I was behind so she knew not to leave work.

We ran.

I analyzed data. I showered. I ate. I watched MSNBC. I watched the State of the Union. Poly watched too.

Oh what a tiring day.  I brought my work laptop home and work home but I ran out of time to use it.

Look at the bulge on Dave's ankle.  Too bad we have no idea what that is from.

I started decorating for Christmas.  I knew I needed to get going or it'd be Christmas and I wouldn't have it done.

I need more shoes like this. These cost me $5. I looked at Famous Footwear this weekend and the only ones remotely close to these were $76 and I wasn't spending that much.

I wish the sweater was a few inches longer in the torso and wish the sleeves were a few inches longer. If I move, the sweater moves and is too short.

These jeans used to be too tight if I wanted to eat or sit while wearing them.  They always hit me right at the gut wrong.  Well today, they worked out fine.  I don't like how the flare is as much. I wish it was a smaller boot cut. Sigh.

Today was telecommuting day.  I finally got to telecommute.  That meant I got a lot of pictures of Poly.  I didn't have any meetings. It was good.

I had to drive into work for  WIN workshop.  I decided not go to work the entire day just for that.  I figured it was worth it.  We made some nice stars.

I picked up Supremo's on the way home and we watched Community.  Then we watched the X Factor.  I cleaned up a little while watching the X Factor. I wanted to decorate the tree but didn't until after the show.
I spent an hour putting on ornaments. With the lights on the amount of ornaments looks fine. Will them off, I really do need to put on the other 3/4 of the ornaments I own.

Day 15 - Purple (3/31/11)

"What are you trying to be? A rainbow?" - what my husband said to me when he saw me for the first time (a few hours into my work day)  (My answer was yes)

"Purple tights!" - what someone said to me when they saw me while I was wearing my coat.

 I think my colors go well with the snow. It shouldn't be snowing so late in the year. I want spring weather.  The bright colors did make me a little happier throughout the day.

The colors of my clothes did not photograph properly.  The sweater is purple even though it looks blue. The necklace is hot pink even though it looks red. I tried to use photoshop to alter the colors a little to more like what they really look like but I did not do a good job.

I bought this skirt a few weeks back when I went over the entire mall looking for skirts. I tried on a ton and nothing fit right, was in my size, or was long enough for work.  I bought this. I even tried it on.  The skirt cost less than the fabric I bought for the skirts I will be making.  Well then I put it on to wear it for the first time and notice a hole. I hate returning things. I get lazy. I never do it. So I decided to sew it. That wasted 20 minutes of my morning. Finding the thread took awhile.

Then the skirt isn't nearly as nice as I remembered. When I walk it gets extra fabric in the front. I think it's meant for a butt in the front and one in the back. The design and contours of the fabric make it seem like that's what it is there for.  I like this better than my other floral print skirt because of the hidden zipper but I like the other one better for a million other reasons.

Before I got dressed, Poly sat on my clothes. She thinks if she sits on them that I won't go to work.

Then while I was sewing, Poly went into a canvas bag. Now this bag had my target purchases in them. She only stayed in there a few minutes.

Then it was about time to leave for work and she rests on my workout clothes. I need those to pack my gym bag. She was cute but I had to get going so I disrupted her. Shame on me. I didn't even end up going to the gym either.

Work was extremely busy. It was the last day of the fiscal year.

I got Luchiano's on the way home. This time I decided to take some pictures of the pizza instead of just my pizza bones.  I asked my brother about the pizza bones term and someone he worked with at the toy store made that up he said. Who knew. I've been hearing it so long, I thought it was a common thing.

We watched TV. We weren't productive. What else is new?
I was using my netbook and I decided I couldn't see the monitor anymore. It hurt my eyes after too long and Dave told me I'm getting old.  I want a real laptop.

November 2011 was colored tights day but it isn't cold enough to break out the tights so I had to go to last year's.
