5.22 - Farewell

Cardigan and Skirt: Express
Shirt: F21
Necklace: Sears
Shoes: Famous Footwear (Connie)

I worked.

I gave a speech at the end of the NA-YGN meeting. Too bad nobody taped it because I'd like to watch it again. I congratulated the organization for winning the regional chapter achievement award then I said farewell.  The claps at the end felt heartfelt and not the standard clapping that someone gave just because the speaker was done talking.  Then people came up to me after to talk about it.   Too bad I wasn't so stressed with work and everything and too bad I didn't get to practice my speech more or the delivery might not have sucked.
(Later in the evening I checked facebook to see this status update)
Before work I took a few pictures of the house to show how muh cleaning/organizing still had to be done.

After work we watched TV. Poly was too cute on Dave.   Dave went up to bed and I watched more TV but then Poly climbed up on me so I stayed up late even later.
Look at my calorie burn. I believe I mowed the lawn in the evening.

Day 18 - Red (4.4.11)

I went for the red pants today instead of a red shirt because of a post I saw recently. A few days ago Daphne wore a very similar outfit. She was my inspiration.  (She wore her red pants on stripes day. I wore my stripes on red day. Still the same thing.)

BTW I sure didn't know my cardigan was so see through until looking at these pictures.
So every morning I put my clothes on the bed before I get dressed. Every morning Poly sits on these clothes to stop me from getting dressed. Well today I put decoy clothes on the bed. She sat on those. I was able to get ready with a breeze. She was even sleeping on it when I left for work. Now only if my clean cardigan wasn't cat hair covered, I would have won.
I was able to leave the house 5 minutes sooner than I have been lately so I guess it worked.

Sorry the pictures look so blurry or odd; it is because the lens is completely dirty. I noticed it at the very end of today. I have been wondering why my pictures were coming out so bad.

I got a ton done at work today. Then I realized that was because I didn't have any meetings.  Then I looked at the rest of the week and I have a ton of meetings. :(
I made tuna noodle casserole. Poly cried up a storm. She wanted some so bad.
Dave made me watch Jeopardy. I don't like it because I'm too slow at thinking up answers.
We watched two episodes of Criminal Minds and now I'm blogging.  Dave has been asleep since 3 minutes into the second episode of Criminal Minds though. Poly was on my lap sleeping so I had to watch more TV.

An Old Outfit (1/13/11)

An outfit that never made it onto this blog because I got backed up and then started a challenge is now over at Ashley Getting Dressed as a guest post while she's on vacation. It is more than just my outfit so be sure to go check it out.

It is my outfit from January 13. I thought the snow would be crazy to post now but we got snow yesterday and everyone this snow covered today so it is kind of interesting.

I was going to go to the gym that morning but Poly was sleeping on me plus I knew I didn't account for a long drive that the snow always causes.
When I eventually drove to work, it took me 54 minutes instead of 20.

I went to Body Pump after work so at least sleeping in didn't make me miss my workout all together.

I was ready for bed at 8:00 PM and only remember that much about January 13 because of my tweets for the day.

I am sick of snow. I was sick of snow in January. I was even sick of snow in December. I want spring weather. I want to be able to run outside.

Day 20: February 22

Red a second day in a row
Shirt: F21, Cardigan: Express, Pants: VS, Boots: Mudd via Famous Footwear

I shoveled 2 minutes after I took these photos. I should have done it before so I didn't end up with snow 3 inches up my legs.

I had on knee high socks under my knee high boots. I also had a cami on under my striped shirt. Even with all that I still wore my coat at work.

What worked:
All the layers for warmth

What didn't work:
The length of the cardigan is too short compared to the length of the shirt. Most of my cardigans are too short now. :(

I forgot all jewelry.

Since I got home so late from work Monday night, I slept in a little. I didn't get to work until 8:30 or so.
Poly was sleeping in with me.
When I got home from work, I attempted to shovel a little. It was not a good idea to attempt that in the boots I wore to work. I got partway down the driveway and got stuck. I tried to get back up and kept sliding down. I was using the shovel as a cane/walking stick and it didn't help.  At one point Dave didn't realize I was home and opened the door to the garage to take out a trash bag. Well he was actually just putting the bag right inside the door and he did make a point to tell me how he wasn't going to help me and was only taking the trash out. So he didn't help and I suffered and it took awhile and my legs slid all about. I almost wished he would have walked to my purse and gotten my camera so I would have had evidence of how I was stuck in the driveway. Maybe he could have taken some video as some better proof.  Oh well, I guess I also don't have proof that Dave didn't help me either.
Dinner
This was my dinner.  Dave already ate by the time I got home.  I cooked fresh broccoli for the first time ever. I steamed it. It broke all apart. It made me think it would have been good in soup.  How do you cook broccoli? How does it turn out? I need some tips.
Then it was time to watch TV. Dave was eating or something so Poly could not stake claim on his chest so she made due and found a spot on his legs.  She is too cute.
Before bed I squeezed in a 30 minute exercise workout so I would not have another rest day in a row.

30 for 30 Winter Edition: Day 4 (February 4)

Boots: VS
Jeans: Indi
Shirt: F21
Cardigan: Express

I wore my boots and did a ton of walking. My feet were sore by the end.

My mom said it wasn't fair because I made her feel shot.

I've decided that I really don't like how short my Express cardigans are. I have to pay a lot of attention to not have my cami or shirt underneath show.  I felt pressured to quickly take my picture today because Dave was already in the car with it running waiting for me. He actually started the car before I was even dressed. I didn't have my make-up on yet. Talk about pressure.

We looked at cars again today. We ruled out the Highlander because of the lack of head room. It'd sure be a lot easier to pick a new vehicle if my husband was shorter or if cars just had more headroom.

My outfits are going downhill with this 30 for 30.  I have an idea for tomorrow but I'm not leaving the house tomorrow so it may be silly. We shall see.
We went to the Home Show today. Armstrong had canvas bags. I thought Poly might like a new one. I was right. She went right in it.  She did leave at one point to sit on her other bag. She is cute.
I was cutting supplies for my Stampin' Up class and I wanted to make sure I had enough ribbon for this one card. That wasn't such a good idea... Poly really wanted my ribbon.  She kept getting it. I'd get it back, but as I was putting it back on the spool, she came at it again.
