11.3

pants, cami, and long sleeve: Exptess
Tee: work
shoes: Hot Kiss

I wore clothes that I could just take off the outer Tee and be work appropriate.

I miss my remote. The wall is in focus and I am not. Sad times.
I did Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day again.  This time I stayed longer. I got asked to be on the career panel so I stuck around.  Well after 2 hours the person I was filling in for showed up so I was no longer needed.  I worked from there for awhile then just drove home and telecommuted the rest of the day.

I saw Mrs Weston. I talked to her awhile. She was the interact advisor my senior year of high school.  She recognized me and came over to me.  I offered to present to one of her classes sometime this year.  It was nice to brag a little to her about my volunteering involvement.  She asked about a few other people I graduated with but most I didn't know about.

My voice doesn't carry even when I want it to. At least I used the microphone today but even when I yelled about switching rooms, nobody heard me. I need to learn how to project my voice.  Any suggestions?

I went running with Jen. I didn't make a specific post about it like normal. I have just lacked a desire to analyze my data lately.   I watched some TV but went to sleep early. I fell asleep in bed.  Then at 10:40 my alarm went off. I want to know when I created an alarm and when I turned it on. It was really weird.   When running with Jen, I saw a few people from my Sunday running group. They said hi to me by name but I'm no good at remembering their names on the fly. Most of the people I run with, I don't even know their names. It was too hard on the first day to learn 12 new names and each week there are new people and some of the other people aren't there.

All the waking up super early all week just took it's toll on me.  I wish I could handle less sleep like so many other people I know.

Day 29 - March 9

Jeans: Indi
Shoes: VS
Sweater & Cardigan: Express
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Earrings Kohl's

I didn't get dressed until 4:55. I had to leave the house at 5.
I mixed black and brown but figured nobody would notice. I was only going to Smokey Bones. I was very much lacking outfits to wear with my jeans because my jeans required the VS shoes be worn. All other shoes in my 30 for 30 were too short to go with jeans (except maybe the red ones but those ones feel dressy to me).

I'm not sure what worked or what didn't work. It's an OK outfit. Nothing that wrong. Nothing that awesome.
I was telecommuting. Poly was cute.  I had leftovers for lunch. I rinsed off a piece of tuna from it to share with Poly. She wanted more.

I went to an NA-YGN social event and headed home after.
I got home and knew Thursday would be a busy day so I wanted to post and then schedule a post. Well I kept hitting post before scheduling one so I had to keep going.  At least it helped me catch up on posts.

January 8 - Party Round 1 - Friends

Cami and Cardigan: Express
Necklace and Earrings: Target
Skirt: F21
Tights: Target
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Why not wear something that is too short to wear to work on a weekend when I actually have something going on.
I almost didn't get my pictures taken before dark. OK I almost didn't get dressed until dark.
Poly and I stayed in bed pretty late. I was resting up for my big day ahead of me. Or maybe I was just procrastinating. We did a good job procrastinating. Luckily I cleaned a teeny tiny bit each day so then it wasn't so bad that I didn't start cleaning until 3pm.
I finally used both of my crockpots. I have had them for 2 years. The sticker was really hard to get off the big one. I bet it would have been easier two years ago.

I only took pictures of some of the appetizers and then forgot about the rest. Sad.  Also I didn't get pictures of everyone. I need a photographer at events I think.
We had 14 people total. That was a new maximum number of people that we have cooked for. It wasn't so bad because most people brought food so I was calm and collected and ready when people started to slowly arrive.  I was actually pretty surprised how late people showed up. I couldn't figure out when to start eating because we were still waiting for people. We were still waiting for people that were bringing appetizers so I didn't know how it would work to start eating real food.  I stress a lot.
I'm all gums... I hate that.
Most people left. and then we took a few pictures.
Dave took these pictures and you can see Matt's hand and that was everyone that was left. I was glad a few people stuck around. It gave me more time to socialize with them.
They commented that Poly had to be in our picture so I held her. She didn't seem to like it that much though. She only likes to be held when she wants to be held.   Everyone was gone by 11 and then I had to do dishes so that I could repeat it all again the next day for family.

Overall I think having a Christmas Party for Orthodox Christmas worked well. Not everyone could come but I at least had 14 show up. Two years ago, there were only 7 total. 4 years ago there were only 10.  This time everyone came that said they were coming. In previous years that was not the case.

One person at my party told me that she had to look presentable when she came because she knew I'd be dressed nice.  Then that prompted discussion about my blog.

November 5, 2010

Outfit for work:
Cami: Express
Cardigan: Express
Skirt: Express
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Necklace: Target

Outfit after work (and I can't remember why I changed clothes or if I went anywhere)
Sweater: Express
Cami: Express
Jean's Express
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Necklace Sears

(Express clothing and Famous Footwear shoes seem to be a theme.)

What didn't work: The camis was too long for the cardigan and the sweater. I was constantly folding over the cami so it wouldn't stick out too far.

The outfit worked so well that I was able to pack up my cube to move buildings at work. Apparently I was supposed to assume to break the dress code at work and wear jeans. I did not do this. Lots of others did.  I was still able to pack in my pantyhose and skirt and I felt better about it.  We had to be packed at noon and couldn't work in our cubes after that.  I went and did Body Combat at lunch because of this and then I headed home to work.  I worked my full allotment. Starting around 2 I was checking who in my group and who that was moving was on Communicator (program like AIM) and well nobody except my manager was on.  I guess everyone else assumed that you had to be packed by noon and then could head home to work but not really work.  A very similar thing happened 15 months ago when I moved from Monroeville to Cranberry; nobody else ever works. I did take breaks to take these pictures of Poly but that is a very short break. It would take longer to get up and get water at work.
Dave was on vacation this day so he was home doing whatever. He read for a long time while I was at the kitchen table working. Poly hung out with him.
Dave got up so Poly stole his seat.
A lot later that night, Poly was resting on Dave so cute that I got up to take her picture.

30 for 30 Outfit 9: Tuesday, November 16, 2010

Cami: Express (Not part of 30 for 30 since just under my sweater)
Cardigan: NY&Co.
Pants: Gap
Shoes: JCP
Necklace: Sears

These pictures were taken after work and it was already dark.

I went to Body Pump before work. It starts at 6:30 and lasts 1 hour. Within the first 5 minutes I got lightheaded.  I suffered through the entire workout like an idiot.  Then I couldn't get rid of being lightheaded. I sort of would but then I'd stand for a minute and was back to being lightheaded.   This lasted over 3 hours.
I had to present during a meeting a noon.  We could have brought lunch to the meeting but since I was lightheaded I knew I had to eat first.  Well standing in line to get my food, I had to crouch down so I wouldn't pass out.

I will tell you one thing, having to present while lightheaded, knocks the lightheaded right out of you. The adrenaline got rid of my lightheadedness.  But being lightheaded all morning, left my brain still all foggy and I gave an awful presentation.  I had notes that I didn't look at and then didn't say. What was on the notes was stuff I would normally have said without looking but I like them for backup.  Then at the end someone asked me what my favorite part of my job was.  I was having trouble thinking.  All I could think of were the awful things of lately of how I can't get all my work done because I have too much work.

I worked the rest of the day and wanted to do cardio (body combat) but knew with being lightheaded, I better not do that.  My husband and I went to dinner after work with a friend.  Then I came home, took my daily pictures, and went right to sleep. Don't think we went to an extremely long dinner or anything; We got home at 8:30.
I always pose like this even though I hate it.
Poly has had enough and wants down.
Now it is time to jump AND take a picture. harder than you think.
She won
Yay
How I bent over when I was in line in the cafeteria.
I took a rest.
