May 21-31 Outfits

5/21
5/22
That is a chicken. That picture was the closest I got to an outfit photo for the day
5/23
I fit into some pre-pregnancy jeans!
5/25
I look heavier in my nursing tops that are size small versus the size medium.
5/27
I wore these jeans even though they are too big now. I didn't want to dirty up my other jeans before traveling.
5/28
Since I took the red-eye this was also my 5/29 outfit. I wore a black cardigan here or there too.
5/30
I started in jeans but was entirely too hot.
5/31
My friend, Jen, took these. We got some nice pictures at the walking path that I hope to have a post about sometime.

6.1

Shirt: Kohl's, Shorts: AE, Shoes: Famous Footwear.
We got our keys to our new place. I took some pictures.  The top picture is of a bedroom that would become an  office. The second picture is of another bedroom that will eventually become a baby room. The picture on the left on the bottom is the original living room but is referred to as the chimney room by the landlord and will become our reading room.  The last picture is of the laundry room.
I love sweet tomatoes. I really need to go with someone who eats slow so I can get enough food. The picture with 2 plates on one tray is Dave's food.
We packed some but not a lot.

4.3

Shirt: Kohl's, Pants: Delia's, Shoes: Famous Footwear, Necklace: Kohl's
I watched TV all day. I played Popping Donuts almost all day. (I just typed Daily Donuts. I guess I want to eat donuts instead of just play with them.)

I did walk to Safeway. I bought 2 bags of stuff. Yet I feel like I bought no food.

I ran with Hilary. That helped because I would have probably skipped. It was pretty warm which is why I didn't run earlier.

I watched TV. Then I watched TV with Dave. Then I watched TV on my own. At 3 AM mythTV broke. It reboots at 3AM but I have learned from experience that if I'm watching TV at 3 when it tries to reboot, it is broken  until Dave works his magic.  So then I decided to watch Hack on my iPad. Around 4:30 Dave woke up and yelled at me.
Around 5:30, I went into bed but continued to watch TV on my iPad. Then at 7, I decided I shouldn't start a new episode.

At 7:05, I was still awake when Dave's alarm went off. Good thing he wasn't looking over at me or my fake sleeping would have been a big smile.  Luckily I fell asleep for real by the time he actually got up.

Poly was peeping me take my daily picture from our second floor. It scares me when she stands like that, but it especially scared me when I was down below.
Outfit 1 (Above): For work
Outfit 2: For Pirate game. Cardigan removed.
Shirt and Cardigan: Kohl's
Skirt: Athleta
Sandals: Target
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Poly was still peeping when I got back inside.
I was busy at work. I had to hurry because I had to leave early to go to the NA-YGN tailgate and Pirate game.  I left a little after 3:30 to go to Costco and buy ice. Man was it hot outside.  I almost made it to the tailgate at 4:35 but made a wrong turn and had to loop way around and find my way to where I had to go. I hate driving.   Since my table and stuff were being used for the tailgate, I didn't end up going into the game until the 5th inning or so. As I was walking in was the inning that the Pirates scored 6 runs. I missed them all though
I was still so hot when I got home that I slept in shorts. I never sleep in shorts. I opened my closet door for something and Poly found a bag and had to go hide on it. I caught her peeping though.

4.25

Pants: VS $44, 2009.  These pants are awful. They are stiff and look huge. They don't photograph well.  I have awesome VS pants and cool VS pants and I never know what I'm ordering. The descriptions aren't good enough on the website. Also all my VS pants are $36 inseam yet these had to be hemmed 1.5 inches.
Shirt and Cardigan: Kohl's - March 18, 2011 $25 and $12
Necklace: Kohl's, $16, 2009
This shirt has a size zipper but it is a little big and I don't need to unzip it. They didn't have a smaller size and since it is flowy I figured a larger size is OK.
I tried to take pictures with my legs apart like so many other style bloggers. They didn't turn out too bad. I mean the pants still look awful. These pants were freshly ironed and you can't tell at all.

I don't like these cardigans anymore. I didn't realize how bad they look unbuttoned. I need to see how they wash to find out if I'm really disappointed though.
Poly was cute before work. She didn't even bother my clothes.  I was tired and got to work a little later than normal.  I functioned surprisingly well at work for being so tired.
I stayed up too late.

Day 24 - Pattern (4.10.11) - Productive, Injury

The weather was finally nice so I got to wear the new stuff I bought at Kohl's awhile ago.
Shirt: Kohl's - March 18, 2011 - $25.99
Cardigan: Kohl's - March 18, 2011 - $11.99
Jeans: Express - ~2005
Shoes: Aldo - February 19, 2011 - $60

This is the last day of Color Rotation!
The weather was so nice that I carried our chairs upstairs and onto the porch. Dave and I read. We didn't read for long because of someone making us sad. Poly wanted to get at us so bad.

After reading we decided to go put the shelf together in the basement that we bought over a year ago.  It was actually closer to 2 years ago.

There you have it. A nice storage shelf. Now just to put some stuff on it.

After building the shelf and cleaning some stuff up in the basement and carrying some stuff downstairs it was time for lunch. Dave unloaded the dishwasher first. We were on such a productive streak.
So for lunch, I was going to make a turkey sandwich with sliced green peppers. That's what I buy at work and the green peppers are so awesome when sliced so thin. We were going to use the mandoline to do it. But I never used the slicer before. Dave showed me how. BUT he did it wrong. He cut his finger.
He said it was bad.  I tried to find a septic pencil because that's what my brother did when he hacked off a centimeter square area of his chin while shaving.
I wanted to take a picture of the finger gushing blood but Dave told me that was inappropriate.

After a little bit, Dave said part of his finger was probably under the slicer.
Sure enough. It was.  It just looks like a piece of an onion but that's his finger tip.
After constant gushing of blood, we decide to go to the ER.  On our way to the ER, we decide to stop at med express.

They had to extra shoot Dave with Lidocaine a few times because the pain was so bad.  While the doctor messed with his finger I stood there holding his hand and watched the doctor. That was the first time watching a procedure made me want to pass out.  I crouched down and continued to hold his hand. I didn't tell anyone I thought I would pass out. I knew how to handle it myself.

It took over an hour for the bleeding to stop. The doctor said the Lidocaine actually helps with that so I'm surprised it still took that long to stop bleeding.  They said he nicked the end of an artery but didn't hit bone or muscle.
They put this styrofoam thing on the opening.  It's like a fake scab of sorts and will fall off eventually and there will be a real scab underneath.
"My driving finger" as Dave referred to it.
Then some gauze was added and his finger was wrapped in compression tape.  So Dave was in a lot of pain for the rest of the night.   There went our productivity.  Dave said he should have just played TF2 all day. Then this would have never happened.

We were so productive and happy and then boom all of a sudden something puts a wrench into your day.
(Even now a week later thinking about the ordeal gives me the heebee jeebees.)

We got home and watched TV. We probably ate dinner in there too.  Then I worked for 3.5 hours on some stuff for work.
