Day 2: Red (you can join Color Rotation anytime. It makes getting dressed fun.)
Shirt: NY&Co
Sweater: Express
Pants: Gap
Shoes: JCP
Necklace: NY&Co
The shirt is for red not the shoes! I layered up since Monday was so cold and it was 53 degrees in the afternoon. I guess I need to pay better attention to the weather. All these after work pictures have my hair looking like crap. I guess I should brush it first. Also my camera remote isn't working. It is very annoying. I got too used to it.
I got to work at 7am. I left work around 5. Then we headed to pick up my car. Got home, changed, and went to go to the track to run, ran a measly 2 miles, walked 1 lap, then left. We got home and ordered pizza. Watched TV. Didn't do much. Was pretty tired.
During my run, I didn't run slow. I ran 2 miles in ~16:40 (approximate because I didn't type my numbers yet) My best lap was lap 5 at 1:57. Laps 1 through 5 were constantly improving but I was still running with a limp. I decided my calf/leg would just get worse so I would take it easy and not injure myself worse. I still don't know what was wrong. Later on in the evening I tried to walk holding Poly and I couldn't handle it. The extra weight of a little cat made it bad. I didn't take any medicine or anything. When I was in bed trying to go to sleep I thought of getting ice because my left calf/shin hurt and my right foot hurt. I was too lazy to get ice though so I didn't.
I did run 3 out of 4 days. I also didn't take a rest day on Monday like I should have. Perhaps it is all adding up. Perhaps all the pain is all in my head because I'm worrying about the marathon. Perhaps it is something real and I think it is all in my head and then I'll end up with an injury.

Day 22: February 25
Shoes: Famous Footwear, Skirt: Express, Sweater: Express, Button-down: NY&Co, Belt: Target, Necklace: Sears
I thought I liked this outfit but looking at the pictures it still looks too dreary. Perhaps it is the rain that helped it look dreary. It was daylight but you can't tell. It looks so dark in the pictures. My red heels would have been better but these flats aren't pulling their weight in this 30 for 30. I can't wait until this challenge is over. Not getting dressed too many days a week isn't helping with this challenge.
Dave and I went to Olive Garden for dinner. Our table was small and we had too much food. Look how everything has to fit on the table. Cheese fondue = awesome. Recreating that recipe at home cost me over 20 bucks (but also resulted in more cheese) so I opt for ordering it every time I go to Olive Garden. I mean you can make it at home, but how much cheese can a person really eat. You can only buy all the kinds in certain sizes and it just cost too much and took too long to make for it to be worth it. Maybe if we have company some day, we'll make it. I mean it is good.
Friday should be a day that no matter what I can get a workout in but it never seems to happen. I don't think I push myself because on every training plan that I use, Friday is always rest day.

30 for 30 Winter Edition: Day 2 (February 2)
Shirt: NY&Co.
Some people say they couldn't pull off red shoes at work. I'm glad I never thought about it before I wore mine. I not only pulled off one pair of shoes today, but pulled off two. I swapped after walking about a mile in my heels. My feet sure were hurting.
This morning before work there was a double rainbow.
I had a busy day at work. I didn't get my workout in for the third day in a row. I almost went during core hours since work meetings messed me up during non core hours. I felt too guilty. Also I had a work thing starting at 6PM tonight (just like Monday night). Sometimes I feel like the evening work things should count towards the work time only if I am trying to squeeze a gym trip in. I didn't squeeze it in thought and get mad.
Today I got to work at 8:10. I took a 45 minute lunch. I left at 5:50 to head over to the work function/dinner and then left that at 10:30 PM. I did better today remembering names of people I talked to. Sometimes I feel like my brain is too full and I can't remember anything else.
Tonight I got home around 10:45 and Poly greeted me but Dave was already asleep. At least someone likes me. Now she sits here watching me type this post.
How do you handle days that you are out all day? Do you get as exhausted as I do socializing all day and evening.?
Update: Here is the picture that work took. I just need to figure out how to get the blue background behind the shot I want to use and also crop it to the right dimensions.
Skirt: Express
Tights: Target (Thigh highs. shear)
Shoes: JCP then Famous Footwear (not shown since didn't upload the pictures but they are my other red shoes in my 30 for 30)
Necklace: Sears
Blazer: Sears
Most of the day w/o the blazer. When the blazer was on it was mostly unbuttoned. I did button it a few times.
I had to take the pictures on the porch because it was raining again.
What didn't work: While I walked and had my coat and backpack on my skirt would rotate 90 degrees. The buttons from the back would end up on my left side. I had to try to fix it covertly. I first noticed this though when I was at the printer.
Also these tights. I don't like the shear ones. They seem too see through that I might as well wear pantyhose. That's what I get for asking my husband what tights to wear and giving him all the options. He picked and I just went with it.
Most of my pictures turned out blurry. My face was out of focus but my shirt was in focus. I wonder what I did differently today for that to happen.
I was getting a head shot taken today at work. I decided to crop up my pictures. Even the ones out of focus turned out better than the one the photographer took today. Too bad it is on my work computer or I would post that. Maybe I will tomorrow. Should I use one of the ones above in a newsletter or take my own picture another day? Also these tights.
