we went to the homeshow in monroeville this morning. i'd say it was mostly not worth it. we got some pamphlets and some pricing on stamped concrete and some info on retaining walls. that's about it. i thought it'd have more stuff. it cost money to get in. perhaps if we already had our house it would have been more interesting. i did learn that we should upgrade our windows. they had different vinyl floor examples but i didn't feel like looking. i do know they have some nice ones. then we toured a windsor. it only has drywall. she'll call us again when it has cabinets in it. it's so much nicer than i thought. it was a mirror image of the floor plan. it was cold in there that it was rough looking. i wish we'd get a list of all hte extras and all the prices and work from there. we keep seeing or learnign about additional extras and then our job of what to pick is much harder, but i'd hate to learn later that there was more out there that we didn't even realize.
between the home show and the tour, we went to springfield grill. it was fancier than i expected. i liked my chicken ceasar salad.
after the windsor tour we toured the model in that plan. the Oxford was amazing. the upstairs was awesome. and by upstairs i mean the floor furthest up. there was a floor above the main floor and then a floor above that.
after the model we came back here and watced CNN. My parents were here and watching the election results with us. they left around 9:30PM.
Dave needs to figure out why he cant' print from his computer anymore. it prints nonsense letters and numbers and characters. he had a name for this but i forget.
I learned on friday about a discount Westinghouse offers about 1.5% off the base price for heartland homes. we can use that, but we can only use 2 discounts. so right now we're using two but if one is not as good as 1.5% off then we'll switch to the 1.5% off. they should let us do both though :(
