4.16.17 Legoland

We made it into the park and decided to rent a double stroller. Once we had it, I wished we just had our single. Miles didn’t want any parts of the stroller and it didn’t have storage. It also took us awhile to figure out that the stroller even had a brake on it.

Ella and I rode the airplanes. Ella loved it.  Then we went to figure out lunch. Sure enough an amusement park in California has healthier food. We didn’t want any of it. We kept walking to find something we wanted and we finally settled for the one cafeteria. I barely got anything. It was expensive and I didn’t want it.  Miles did have some of his first rice krispy treat.

Dave and Ella tried to ride the fire trucks but it didn’t go well. You had to hold something and pump. Ella was no help so Dave was doing it all. I couldn’t go on because Miles couldn’t be in the Ergo on it.  The employee ended up hopping in their truck and helping pump.  Once you got to the end you’d shoot some hose to something but Ella left the ride before that. You were supposed to pump back too.

Then we waited in line 30 minutes for Ella to drive the cars.  She didn’t do so well at actually steering. She kept running into the wall and the employee had to straighten her out. She loved it.

Next Dave and Ella rode the helicopters.  We all waited in line together then they went on.  I got to take pictures that way.

While babywearing Miles, we went on the merry-go-round. Ella wanted to ride a bench.  Since I was wearing Miles we had to go on a bench. Dave stood by us.

Since Miles woke up we went to the little kid area. So he could crawl and play with some stuff. He went down his first slide by himself.  Ella enjoyed playing too.

Then we went to the lego barn to just play with legos. Ella loved it there and it was in the shade so then we weren’t feeling so miserable.

We walked by Star Wars Miniland. Ella loved all the characters she recognized. Then she’d pose by them and tell me to take her picture. She would stand at them for so long that other people couldn’t get their pictures taken without waiting. Sometimes she ran up to some while other people were in the middle of a picture.  There were areas where you pushed a button and it moved something. She loved showing off what the buttons did. She’d run up to one and use it and tell us all about it.

Ella had enough for the day we we only briefly got to walk and see DC.

We went to go to dinner and Ella fell asleep on the way.  So we picked up food and put her in the stroller to get her to the hotel room.  Having Miles eat hoagie on the bed wasn’t the best choice. It was so messy.

She napped for a long time.  She missed all the hotel fun. They had a pirate in the lobby next to the lego ship. I’m not sure what all he was doing. They had a massive dance party too.   She woke up just a little bit after everything ended.  I felt bad. We went and played with the legos. We had to get back when Miles woke up. Dave took her back to play with Legos.

We had a nice room that was a castle. It had bunk beds and then a big bed.  Too bad Ella was scared to sleep in the bunk bed area. Sadly the room had an awful chair selection. I had to put pillows down just so sit on the chair to nurse without being in pain.

I made 3 collages and posted them to facebook about the day!
