4.17.17 Legoland

When Miles woke up in the middle of the night to nurse, he had a fever. That was not a fun time for either of us. He was red and had a fever. He woke up a few times. I decided since we were on vacation, I’d do tylenol even though I might usually wait it out. I did a cold compress on his forehead. But then I needed to find the Tylenol.
I was at the car at 3:30 looking for the tylenol and syringe. I spent a half hour digging all the little bags out and going through everything trying to find it. After a while I did but then I did find the Tylenol but not the syringe. I had a medicine dropper but you can’t get medicine out of the baby tylenol without a syringe. On the bright side a half hour outside in 50 degree weather helped cure him of his fever and I was eventually able to get him back to sleep. Our long walk to and from the car felt really long in the middle of the night. I saw a family leaving with their luggage to catch their flight.
In the morning he seemed fine. We got ready as usual and went to the hotel breakfast. I didn’t anticipate the line. It was about 20 minutes before we were seated. Once back at the hotel it was time to put swimming stuff on and then our clothes over top.

We forgot to do the scavenger hunt to unlock the safe to get the prizes for Ella so we just used the internet to learn the answers and opened it. Ella still enjoyed getting stuff.
While checking out of the hotel, Ella loved playing in the big lego area in the lobby. Then there was a big lego guy. Ella waved. Then we got our picture taken with him.

The water area opened at noon and it was close to noon so we just headed there and sat down then waited in line.

Ella and Dave went into the water and I found a chair and waited a bit. I couldn’t see them for the longest time. I wasn’t even sure they were still there. But it turns out they were just chilling enjoying the water. After about 10 minutes, I decided to change Miles into his swim clothes and give going into the water a try. He liked it when I held him. When I held him, I didn’t have a camera. I left my waterproof case in the car. After a little bit of time in the kiddie pool, Ella went down the slide. I was impressed she did it herself!

We went to check out the other water areas but the water wasn’t as warm so Ella didn’t like it. The cement was so hot on my feet. I need water shoes for future water parks. Then Dave and Ella were going to go on a ride. They even made it in line and Dave got on before an employee told Dave how Ella was off on the edge hiding so they got off. We watched it. Then Dave got back in line while we all watched him. After a little more swimming it was time to change and snack. It was difficult for me to change with Miles and the stroller but I was glad to be done by the time Ella and Dave got out.

After swimming, Ella and I rode the helicopters. Ella and Dave rode the Merry-Go-Round. Dave and Ella sat and watched the end of some show with some people singing and dancing. Miles and I were watching but we were told to move our stroller so then we moved way over. Ella wanted to play in the Lego Barn again too. She seemed to have more fun playing with legos than the rides.

Ella got to pick something small from the store. Dave made her pose by the Darth Vader. We got our penny press or as Ella calls it our football money. She always sees the machines and begs for some more football money.

We left a little after 4.

The kids fell asleep in the car. We headed to the super charger and then to our hotel. We ate dinner in our hotel room.

We wrote and mailed my mom her birthday card. I thought the story about the bad eyes was good so I wrote it on top and then took a picture of it too.
