i think i should name my car max.  what do you think.  it's so uncreative it's almost perfect. c and max could be a girl's name or a guy's name so which should it be?

If there is a name, it should be a girl's name. If there's a name that could be taken both ways, it should be thought of as the female version of the name. Just my opinion. Newer supercars have names like cindy or melinda. Old trucks have names like betsy or sue. There are certainly patterns to follow, so this is something to consider. Generally, it is always a girl's name.

Even the Camaro has a name after many a person told me to name her. I asked around for opinions and ideas and reached a conclusion, even though I wasn't going to name her at first. Naming the car helps establish a better relationship. In my case, this can be important during cold starts, a rough running engine, or important races.

Thinking of one's car as an actual living being also helps one focus on maintaining that vehicle. It's kind of like raising a child. You must keep up with new engine noises, oil changes, greasing bearings (which very few shops do when they change your oil), air filter replacement, tire pressure, fuel filter replacement and other regular maintenance and inspection (believe me, I can go on and on). Ok, so a child doesn't have bearings or tire pressure, but you get the point.

by the way, I realized I was typing way too much and had to go back and delete a lot of my comment. This is the shortened version. Good luck naming the new car. Don't let one person influence you too much. If anything, don't listen to anyone and come up with a name by yourself. (Max sounds fine, or maxine or something along those lines).
