i expect responses

even from pb even tho he would be a host

russ i expect you to answer for felicia too.

would you come to a house warming party on a weeknight? would a weeknight be better? is it bad to have a housewarming party over a holiday weekend? if it were on a weekend does it have to be at night like college parties are or would people still come if it's during the day? would people be allright with hot dogs/hamburgers and appetizer type things (maybe not hot dogs if it's dark out)? i wish i would have been to one of these things before throwing one myself.

weeknights are good for housewarming parties because people don't expect to get trashed. that's when I'd have one if I were hosting a non-binge drinking party. now, when I move, it will have to be a weekend, because everyone will have to get annihilated.

theres no standard for house/apt warming parties...
do what ever you like. people are more likely to come on the weekends and depends how early you tell them whether or not theyll come on memorial or 4th of july weekend or something like that...
    do whatever its youre party
and youll cry if you want to

i dont' want people to be drunk but i also dont' want people to be bored. there can be a mix. either way i think i'll think everyone will hate it.

i was also thinking of having 2. because callie and mike(even tho i haven't talked to him about coming) is home when someone i work with (girl i talk to the most) is out of town.

but lack of standard also then it could be super boring and everyone might hate it.

If the people you invite are your friends, they will come any time you ask. The house warmings I've been to, the invitation says a time like 4-8 and people come and go between that time. Some stay the whole time. The food has been finger foods, dips and sometimes small sandwiches (barbecues, chicken salad etc.) Most people like finger foods instead of a big sandwich because they are standing around, moving from place to place instead of sitting in one place. Just my thoughts.

I'd go on a holiday weekend because I never do anything on those weekends anyway, so that would be what I'd be doing.

I'd want there to be poker then I would be able to party all night.

That wouldn't work on a weekday or without people who play poker. It'd be nice if I had poker friends.

    I'm tired.

I really don't mind whether it's a weekend or a weekday. Felicia and I go on a dive trip every memorial day weekend, so we wouldn't be able to make it if it's that weekend. I think that's the only thing we have planned as of now.

The more it's like a college party, the less likely I will be there. Drunks are annoying. Belligerent drunks are intolerable. I agree that it should be a long party because then people would be able to show up when they are most available. I may show up during the day, but probably not stay late because I have to be up at 5 am for work.

As for food, if it's edible, I'll eat it and be happy.

I'll have to type felicia's responses some other time. She's not awake right now.
