i was outside and watched it on a huge screen
but it was cold.

progress pictures
i took progress pictures (but don't post them)
i showed them to dave. he said my ribs make it look like i have a 6 pack.
stupid poking out ribs are so annoying.
i took measurements and when i flex my bicep my measurement 10.75 instead of 10 in resting. but i did the measuring myself with my other arm so i'm not sure how exact that is.
the progress pictures actually make me feel less like i'm making progress.

no gym for me today. it's late already.
i think i will read and use the exercise bike and then i'll get out my work computer to do a few things. I didn't get everything done that I wanted to today.
The stampin' up party went alright. I think 2o f 5 that were here are ordering. 2 people cancelled at the last minute. 3 or 4 people who didn't come are ordering.

a year ago
i have 2 canvas bags and 3 small boxes to go through of papers and junk that i accumulated.
i found this one sheet of my exercises but don't know the date
i think last summer
total 2.43 mile. 242 cal (so must have been a treadmill)
35 min total
6 min walk
1 min 6.0 mph

rest was cooldown 3mph or something
i remember when i would try to use the treadmill there my knee couldn't handle more than a min or 2 of running so i tried breaking it up to get more cardio in. and i think on the "walking" i would read a book.

today
today we went to north park and walked the loop around the lake. i thought it was a 3 mile loop. but it was a 5 mile loop. took an horu and 53 min. the first 3 miles we did in 20-21 min each but then slowed up. it was hot. or got hot. i was proud of dave though.
then we went to cheesecake factory at ross park mall.
then i came home and finished pumping up my athletic ball i forget the official name.
then i mowed and did some yard work. an hour and 20 min worth.
the day flew by.

excerise
yesterday i ran for 12 minutes
6.2 mph for roughly 6 and a half minutes
then 5.5 mph for 3.5 min
then for 2 min 5.7mph
i typed my running yesterday but apparently didnt' post it
today i only ran 5 min warmup then i lifted for 2 hours.

tonight
yardwork sucks and takes too much time
i was going to mow the back half of the yard to make it even. 2 nights ago i mowed the front half
instead we aerated the dirt in the patches without grass. dug out patches of rock. found a patch that had dry cement and when we watered to make the dirt easier to work with it was hardening up. it was heavy and not fun. we filled big holes with top soil but not them all because our 2 bags of soil weren't enough. then we put grass seed down, and then this stuff that makes it grow better/faster. i added more dirt around the plant we planted. we added mulch to that entire area. then i put mulch around our one tree. do you know the fabric is still around the tree? you can see it. i thought you get rid of the fabric when you plant stuff. guess i was wrong. even though i added mulch to the tree our neighbors (206) still have much higher mulch beds. i'm pretty sure this took from 6:30 until now.
guess we have to save mowing for another night.

painting
spent 3 hours or maybe 2.5 hours today painting.
i got the first coat on the other 2 walls and then the 2nd coat on the 2 walls i painted last night.
pb came and helped at one point. only the one part. and i think it's all messed up. there are distinct lines where the roller went because he didnt go over it in multiple ways.

update
wow it's been awhile since i posted. i am quite the slacker
last weekend i was busy. saturday i did some running around
sunday friends came over to scrapbook. saturday was national scrapbook day but kelly wouldn't have been back from korea yet so we did sunday.
monday i went to my yearly dr appointment and she said "whoa" when she saw my plantar fasciia... yet it was barely swollen all. now i have to go to a podiatrist.
Tuesday i ended up goign to dinner with my parents. we waited an hour an a half. my mom wanted to go to mad mex.
wednesday i got home at 8:15pm from work and ate dinner. then i worked until i went to sleep
it took me 2 hours to fall asleep and then i woke up all the time during the night
today i left work "early" so that we could pick dave's car up from the shop. the check engine light came on on tuesday. so wednesday I drove my car to work.
tonight i caught up on reading LJ. now i might watch a TV show.
the norm for the past few weeks has been getting home from work after 8pm.
also the norm has been getting to work earlier than normal because of early meetings.
