2.21.17

Miles was up at 1 and would not go back to sleep until after 2.  He was so itchy. I gave him Benadryl. His previous benadryl wore off and he could take new at 1 but I was trying not to.

Then he woke at 7.
He was so itchy again.

Near 8, Ella woke up. She was in her room and called for me that she pooped in the white potty but didn't have toilet paper. Such a big girl going to the bathroom in the potty and not her pullup.

We hung out. I got Miles to nap. He was insanely itchy and it was like fighting him to get him not to scratch his head.  I gave him Benadryl again.

Our morning plans changed 3x and we were going to Susu's house to make slime and play.

We ate breakfast and were eating when Miles woke up so we didn't leave right away.  I'm shocked how much traffic there still was at 10:20.

Making slime didn't go as well as hoped. Without Borax it just didn't turn out right.  The internet has other recipes but it didn't go as well.

Then we went outside to jump in the puddles. (We also did our squat challenge in the puddles.) Susu wanted to go for a walk so we headed for a walk. I asked if we were going to run or walk.  The kids said run so we ran the first half until they had to jump in more puddles. Actually carrying Miles wasn't the best idea.  I should have used the Ergo. My arm was quite tired by the end.

Maie made us lunch.  Ella was picky but tried everything. I was very impressed. Susu didn't want to eat it either.

After we ate, I tried to pack up to leave. It is shocking to me how long that took.  So many interruptions. It just felt like it took forever.   We finally left after 1.

Ella was so tired but didn't want to nap. That wasn't fun. She was mean. She threw her spoon at me. Then threw a toy at me. In her room she threw her treasures at me then got so mad that we couldn't find them all.

She finally napped.

Divya visited to drop off the computer box she borrowed and to pick up some stuff too.  We hung out a little with Miles.

Once she left, Miles was happy so I snacked.  Then while nursing him, I totally fell asleep. I slept for 45 minutes and didn't even realize I was falling asleep. Miles definitely was not asleep that entire time.

We woke Ella up. Because I napped, we ended up not waking Ella up early enough.   I let Ella finish watching the youtube video she was watching before nap. Miles lied in bed beside her while she watched it.

Ella was hungry so we ate dinner. Ella had cereal. We both had oatmeal.  Miles had peaches puree.  Dave was still at work.

Miles hung out at the table awhile while Ella ate.  We did take a few breaks because of various reasons.

I gave Miles Benadryl while we waited for Dave.  He got home and he swaddled Miles. I nursed. Before I was done nursing, Ella ran into the room mad that Dave didn't give her soup. Well Miles stopped nursing and was awake. But he wouldn't nurse more. Fun times. I put him in his crib and he went to sleep there. Ella ate one bite of Dave's 2nd bowl of soup then we started bedtime routine with her. That involves me being with her while she cleans up her toys, goes potty, then brushes her teeth.  I help her change her PJs then Dave watches videos with her for the rest of her half hour.   Once I finally got to leave, I updated some stuff for my squat challenge on facebook and used my computer a little.

Then Dave and I went to watch Bachelor.

Miles woke up at 7:30. I was so tired. I thought for sure he'd sleep in since he was up 2 hours past his bedtime. I was wrong.

Getting the kids ready for school went really really slowly.

We got to school near 9:30. Ella's class was getting ready to go outside. For all Ella talks about liking it cold, she sure hates when they go outside at school.

Miles and I went to JCP after dropping Ella off. We returned my swimsuit.  Then we went to Aldi. Miles sure makes the trip last so much longer because he won't get into his carseat.  At Aldi, I returned a few carts so I made 50 cents.  Then we went to Ross. I wanted to see if they had dresses for Ella. Miles also really wanted a Mickey Mouse outfit so he got one.  I tried to get a backpack for Miles that we could use on the road trip.

Me: Do you want a spider man backpack?

We got home and ate. Miles was tired but not. He was hungry but didn't want anything.

I did laundry. I made stuffed pepper soup while he was napping. I wanted to work out but I never got to that.


I finished folding laundry and then we went and picked up Ella. Miles didn't want to go and I even got some good video of it.

I was at preschool for 40 minutes. At first I was on the phone, then I went in and gave a note to the front desk of when Ella's last day would be. We talked for awhile. Then I went in to get Ella and the teacher was asking about when we were leaving and what we were doing. That took time. Then we went to get Ella's stuff and her picture she drew of a house was gone. She was so upset by this so I could not get her to leave. She kept looking over and over for it and then would yell about it.

We had soup when we got home. Dave was already home when we got there.   I got food ready for the kids. Miles was entirely done eating before I had my first bite. Dave was too. Then I go to eat it and it's entirely too spicy. I couldn't even handle it with crackers and bread. I was disappointed.   I ate a few things and got more food and then it was time for Miles to go to sleep.  After I got him to sleep I  used my laptop and watched Netflix while Ella bothered me every few seconds. I wanted to work out but it was close to her bedtime so I waited. But then we started her bedtime an hour later!  Sigh.  I didn't start my workout until really late.

Now I'm caught up and I have to wait a month to do July's.  I mainly used the roll the dice feature so I'm not even sure what else I could have showed.

While eating dinner I asked Miles if he wants a shower or bath later. He says shower. I say "ok after dinner shower."

Miles said “ok all done” and hands me all his food. Then he kept getting up to go. I said I had to finish eating. Then when I said ok time for a shower he screamed yay and was dancing up and down. I like this change!
And shower went smoothly. I washed him and hair. And then he practiced washing himself since he didn’t want to come out

It didn't last. He got up, messed with stuff Ella says is hers, then he cried when she took it from him.

I told Miles be good. daddy would watch him while i’m in the shower. he said “sleep” and pointed at Dave and he was right Dave went back to sleep. I come out and ask Dave where Miles is. He says downstairs. Apparently Miles went downstairs and got candy.

Here is 1 Second Everyday from May 2018.  It's such a quick summary of the month. I need to take more horizontal videos too. I was taking more vertical ones to put onto instastories since it'd compile them.   27 days of this we were on a road trip. The rest we lived in temp housing!
