September 6 (Labor Day)

Monday (for about an hour between running and wearing PJs again.

I put on this outfit to go out to dinner. As soon as I got home, I changed out of it.

Pants: NY&Co. 7.99 in February. They hit me too high on the waist and hit my gut wrong and therefore they aren't meant to be worn while eating.
Shirt: Express - April 2008
Necklace: Sears
Shoes: JCP (same day as the pants)

These pants are going to go in the goodwill pile as soon as I wash them.

We went to Outback. We had the cheese fries as an appetizer.  Then I took 80% of my 6 oz Outback Special home.

I probably shouldn't wear my gowear fit when it's this noticeable.  Do you think people really notice?

Poly knew I was reading so she had to get right in the way. Of course I stopped reading, took her picture, and then petted her until she got bored with me.

Day 1 of Sewing

My sewing machine arrived yesterday.

Today I went to my mom's to sew.  Now my pink shirt no longer has wings, Dave's pants are short enough, and I have a lot of fabric from the attic.
I started to set up  in my craft room.
Poly had to be the center of attention
Before and After... What a difference.
The pants
The Box with fabric
Most of the fabric from the box
What do you think?  Do you sew? If you sew, do you make things or do you fix things?

08:49:04 AM - go to print something for my meeting. printer 1 = out of toner, printer 2 = didn't work, printer 3 = paper jammed.
08:56:21 AM - today = 1st time wearing my cardigan and my pants. 1st time wearing necklace to work (2nd total time), and 2nd time wearing belt.
11:04:34 AM - I was going to go to zumba today but too busy. Next week I will give it a try.
02:24:19 PM - Jen told me I'm dressed patriotic today and i didn't even notice. blue pants, red cardigan, white shirt under
06:29:53 PM - 228 traffic is all backed up because of the turnpike. Gonna suck.
06:31:52 PM - I didn't want a hoagie so I dot me 2 cookie. http://plixi.com/p/44177034

Sunday, September 5

Pants: VS
Shirt: VS
Necklace (not shown) = pearls
I got dressed to leave the house to go to brunch and do a little shopping.  I was a little dressed up  but I wanted to wear knee highs instead of socks for my shoe shopping.    These pants always seem like they fit but they look huge in pictures.

My cheeks are still pink from my run earlier.

This outfit worked because
1. The pants have breathing room when you pig out at a buffet.  PS my 2nd plate consisted of a big bagel and cream cheese and 12 pieces of bacon on it.
2. I was able to try on pants like I wanted
3. The long sleeve thin shirt worked well for the weather.
4. the necklace looked great with it.
5. I still didn't feel too dressy to go with my husbands shorts and a t-shirt.

PS you can see my love handles in a lot of pictures lately. That's proof I've fallen off the exercising wagon  and started pigging out like crazy. I eat a lot because I'm never satisfied with what I'm eating so I always want something else.  This happens to me about once a year. I hope I snap out of it soon.

Wednesday, September 8

Wednesday = telecommuting day.  It rarely happens but it did this week.

I was going to run in the morning but started working right away (con of telecommuting). I figured I would run after work. That never happens. Dave wanted to go to the baseball game so we did and no workout for me.

I didn't actually get dressed until after the work day ended and right before we left for the game.
Jeans: Express (2010)
Shoes: Brooks Adrenaline 9 from Elite Runners and Walkers. (2009)
Shirt: Ann Taylor Loft (2009)
Sweater: Charlotte Russe (2004)
Necklace: Walmart (2009)

I'm pretty tired so this will be a short post.

I feel like when I wear my running shoes with my outfits they turn the outfit from looking great or OK to looking like crap.
You can tell I was in a hurry taking this picture. I didn't even neaten the sweater after throwing it on. It has a ton of wrinkles.

I got a lot done during my work day. I worked a little extra but not a lot like last time I worked form home.
I only got 1 phone call and that was from someone I had IMed telling them to call me when they got back from their desk.

I took some pictures of Kitty throughout the workday.

My daily picture is awful. It's not even in focus. I only took one picture. Sigh.

I told Dave it felt like a weekend because we left the house. He said that was insulting. But it's true. We never leave the house. Dave surely never leaves the house.

At one point I asked Dave to be IT because something wasn't working with my computer. Then he started to ask stupid questions just like IT does. I told him to pretend he's escalation 4 so he can bypass the stupid questions. He came into my room with a post-it with a 4 on it. He gave it to Poly after he helped me.
Poly must have been cold. She leaned right up against the hot fan from my laptop.
I got an interesting string or something out of the washer. I hope it works now.
Poly sits on the floor, even though she has lots of tuna she could eat.
Previous times she's had 1 package and eats it forever. She didn't even touch this stuff.

We got seats in the 300 level. I told Dave he could pick. We got $16 seats instead of $52 seats. And these seats are like 15 ft from the food we like instead of a 5 minute walk.

Dave wanted to know why those guys had on multi-colored backpacks.
 Course 1 = Delicious.
Course 2 = hot dog for the first time in forever.  I only ate half. I gave the rest to Dave. I wanted to save room for course 3.

Course 3 was dip n dots but I forgot to take a picture.  Dip n Dots always make my tongue number. It made it funny to talk for a little while.

The game did not start off well.

The 2nd inning didn't go well either.
At least the city looked nice
In the 2nd inning, we had to have a little meeting. Our pitchers suck
The third inning was even worse.  I told Dave if we were losing by 10, that we were leaving.
We were so bad we had to have a big meeting at the mound.
At one point we had the bases loaded. That didn't pan out well.
At one or more points the Braves had the bases loaded. It worked out better for them.

We left when it was 8-0. Before we got out of the park it was 9-0.  By the time we got to our car it was 9-1. I just looked it up. The final score was 9-3.

07:36:49 PM - Bases loaded and the batter gets out. Too bad there were already 2 outs.
08:05:40 PM - They need to pull our 3rd baseman. Good thing I can't remember his name so I don't know who to hate.
08:20:59 PM - Worst game ever. http://plixi.com/p/44014419

Run on Labor Day - September 6

My 5 mile run turned into a run then an interval run for a total of 5 miles but then that changed to only a 2.25 mile run.
I ran 1/2 mile, stretched,
ran 1/2
jogged 1/4 mile
ran 1/4 mile hard.
jogged 1/4 mile
ran 1/4 mile hard.
jogged 1/8 mil
ran 1/8 mile

With all the jogging my 2nd mile only took me 9:08. I was impressed with that.  At least SOMETHING finally impressed me.
My first mile was 8:09. That wasn't too bad.
My last 1/4 if extrapolated to a mile would have been over 10 minutes. :(
If you read things online they tell you if you run faster, you burn more calories. At the speed I run, It makes it out like I should burn 12 cal/min (METS) but I burn 9.  Every time I run it is 9. Even with my slower jogs it was 9.  If I hardcore use an exercise bike, I'm barely at 6 though.

The Nike+ shows my slower jogs and shows that my first slower jog wasn't as slow as my 2nd one. If you look at the data above, that is true too.  I love data.

For those keeping track 2.25 is less than half of what I was supposed to run.

Tuesday, September 7

Wow it has been awhile since I did my normal daily posts.

Since Monday was Labor Day, there were no classes at the gym and because of that I couldn't take Body Pump on Monday.  Therefore I woke up early on Tuesday to get to body pump at 6:30.  My knee was bothering me for some reason. The outside of my left knee hurt. I backed down on weights for squats and still thought I was going to die.  For chest I kept my "normal" weight on. Well the higher version of the 2 I tend to use.  I did the entire tough workout. The pushups at the end were rough. I was fatigued after that so that for back I was so exhausted I had to sit out a few reps at the beginning.

I got up to work at 7:50.
My work day was super busy. That is always the case, but when I don't work as much as I think I should on the weekend, I feel even more pressured to get things done the day I return to work.

I actually had to be one of "those people" that schedules a meeting starting at 12:30. I always try to respect lunch and core hours but with managers and directors it is really hard to do.

I had a 1-3:30 meeting.  The 12:30 meeting should have lasted 30 minutes.  It lasted 50. I literally ran upstairs to my 1:00 meeting. I get there and people are leaving. Well that meeting got postponed until 2 so that someone who was calling in from vacation had time to read my report. The report is an analysis that I have been working on for a few months. Directors and a VP had to approve it. They needed a certain number present for it to go through the proper channels.  Usually there are a few people that tear everything to shreds. Well they said it was a very good report, that it was well written, and that it was detailed. That made me feel good. I wonder if those compliments will get passed back to my manager though.
Anyway my analysis got approved pending revisions. There were only a few minor revisions to make.  Yay. The meeting actually went way better than all others I have attended that have consisted of the same people.

I really wanted to go to Body Combat at 5 but I just got too many things I was trying to get done ASAP and I did not want to go down then come back to work after because it felt like that would be too late.   Jen went to Body Combat and went back up to work and I was still working at that time.
I went to Giant Eagle on my way home and noticed a runner in my panythose.  I hate thigh highs because the quality is never as good as my regular pantyhose. But I like them in that regular panythose I have purchased lately won't reach my crotch.
Shoes: Famous Footwear - $30 - 2009 - Connie
Skirt: Ann Taylor
Shirt: Ann Taylor Outlet
I forgot all jewelry.
I get home and am eating dinner. Dave brought me a hoagie from Adrians.  My allergies are so bad I get up to get a kleenex and my heel gets caught in the vent. The blue is scraped away a lot now.  The shoe was hard to get out. Sad times.
While I'm eating, Poly sits in my chair.

I had a few slices of cheese before I ate my hoagie. I ate 90% of my hoagie. Then I ate a lot of pumpkin roll. I had 3 slices and Dave had 3 slices. Then I ate some more cheese.  No wonder I'm gutty and my jeans are tight.
Don't go shopping hungry
This is what happens when you go grocery shopping while you are hungry. I put away the "main" stuff but this was still the junk food and what went in the pantry. The peanut butter was actually on the counter and I did not purchase that.
After dinner, I watched Sopranos with Dave.  Poly came and sat with me.
Actually, Dave's dad called and Dave talked to him for an hour and I fell asleep sitting there. I didn't move to get more comfortable because I didn't want to disrupt Poly. Dave's dad is engaged and getting married May 21.  So I said that Dave talked for an hour. He gets off the phone and I ask what his dad said. I get 3 sentences of information.

Poly likes to play with ponytail holders. Sometimes she even does flips to make sure she catches them.

I woke up from my nap around 9 and felt like I was ready for bed, but then I didn't go to sleep until after 11.
