going out to lunch sucked today because some lady rear ended pb. he needs a replacemtn bumper cover and some tail light stuff..only work on teh tail light none of hte parts broke. but it's about 900 bucks for the estimate. the other lady's insurance will cover it though.
he does have the option of taking that cash and fixing it himself. the sum of the bumper and tail light would be less than 900 (go with aftermarket parts), and you have the chance to save the rest of the cash if you replace them yourself.
ReplyDeletei had a friend who had 1500 or something in damage from some lady, and he didn't do anything to his car. just left it like that. it had a scratch down the side that pushed in at a couple of spots, but he was happier with the 1500. i don't expect pb to leave his nice new car damaged, but it would be cheaper to buy the parts and throw them on himself.
oh, but aftermarket parts might void the warranty. oem parts cost a fortune. a great deal more than aftermarket parts. but you might have to use oem to keep the warranty good.
well dave won't be leaving his car damaged and also they aren't sure if itis damaged under the bumper but they guessed not. but pb doesn't know how to do anything himself plus the paint job on the part.
