Today I ran 1.5 miles then I was curious how that compared to walking 1.5 miles with calorie burn. I knew it was shorter but with a walk my calorie burn is increased for longer.
Well here are some numbers for an hour time.
Random hour: 77 calories burned
Hour that includes a 2.2 mi walk: 288 calories
Hour that includes 1.5 mi run: 365 calories
The random hour involved watching TV and some random stuff.
Looking at my BodyMedia fit data reinforced that running is better. I was hoping that was the case.
I'll need to note when I do an ab workout next time to compare that.
