Skirt and Shirt: Loft, Sandals: Kohl's
Man was I tired. Poly tried to wake me up but I went back to sleep. I hit snooze for a full hour. When I finally got up and was brushing my teeth Poly was begging for something and I guessed water.  Sure enough her water bowl was out. I filled it. I got another bowl and filled it with water in the master bathroom where she was and while I was holding it at the sink she drank. So I continued to hold it and she drank for ages. Poor Poly.
I went for a run. I set out to run 2 miles and I made a new route and hit 2.00 miles right at our apartment building door. I couldn't have mapped it out better if I tried.
I had leftovers and then chip n dip for lunch. Sometimes I wish I ate more because I have so many different snacks and desserts I want and after I eat meals I don't have room for them too.

I sort of cleaned up in the bedroom. I have 2 plastic bins that are half full and they need to be gone through. There is too much little junk. I want to combine it all and then go through that. I still want a better place for the hampers.  I also noticed some of the scaffolding is gone from outside.

I kept putting things off because the cable guy was going to be here sometime between 2 and 4. He showed up at 3:52 and things I put off, I ended up not being able to do because the Garmin place was closed and now I have to wait until Monday.  I also started carrying things down to the basement storage but I couldn't get back in the building because the gate is broken now so I only got to make 1 trip.
I didn't go to the store because it is too busy around dinnertime so we just went out to dinner.  I met Dave near the bus stop and then we went to BJs again.  We shared 2 dinners. Their meatballs are good and so is their pizza. I'm never as happy with the 2nd dinner we get.

We watched some TV.  Dave went to sleep at 10:30.  I ended up staying up until 2. I was watching TV for a little but then I went onto the computer.  I did a pretty good job going through old emails. I should do a separate post with my gmail email graphs. Maybe one of these days.

7.25

I hit snooze. Poly meowed at me the 2nd time I hit it. She doesn't like me sleeping my day away either.  I was going to run right away but my allergies are quite annoying in the morning so I did some email until about 10:30.
I went for my run but I stood outside for about 15 minutes trying to get the Garmin to acquire a GPS signal. I walked a half mile in the 15 minutes hoping another spot would work. Finally I just had to run w/o the GPS. I did note the time I started running and the time I stopped.  I was originally going to do mile repeats with a half mile jog in between. I have never done that before. I needed a Garmin for that because I don't have mile or half mile segments blocked off. Well instead of doing that I ran for 20 minutes. I thought it was about 2 miles but it was just 1.85 according to map my run.  I couldn't map out the park exactly as I did it so the 1.85 isn't even right.  What's worse than not having my data is that I fear my Garmin won't work  next time or the following time.

I got back showered, ate lunch, and started watching TV.  Here and there I paused Necessary Roughness to do something then I'd get back to it. I watched 4 episodes. I'm a little mad I missed the first episode of the season.
I left a little after 5 to go to temp housing to pick up a book Dave had ordered and delivered there by mistake.  Dave took the Google shuttle there and we went to dinner together.  We went to Tomatina for dinner then Cold Stone for dessert.  We got home and used our computers and I kept getting up to accomplish some things. I vacuumed!

Photoshop

So I randomly found a Photoshop tutorial on youtube. I gave it a shot with a picture that was showing up in my picasa at the time. I probably should have gone through at least a few pictures to find the best one but oh well. It's from May 3.
Here's the before and after.  This is what I'd look like without huge bags under my eyes I guess.   I want to do it again and pick a picture where I have more eye make-up on and see how that one looks.

It probably took me 30 minutes and I was constantly pausing her video.
I think I look too fake without all my lines but it was still fun to do. I didn't even take them all out.  The after pictures look more like me in 2005.
But then again here's a picture from March 18, 2012 and I don't seem to have all the bags under my eyes. (I didn't edit this photo at all.) And it is a coincidence I'm wearing the same shirt.

7.24

I finally wore my Google shirt that Dave bought me.
Well I woke up and I still didn't feel well so I relaxed in bed with Poly. I used my computer a little but then got my iPad and just played solitaire. I got out of bed around 11.  Every now and then I'd think I was feeling better and go to do something productive but movement made me feel my stomach ache again.

I watched Hot Rod on comedy central. I watched MSNBC.  I didn't even use a laptop while watching these things.
Around 4:30, I felt better so then I started organizing the office closet. All the boxes in the way made it impossible to put anything on the shelves.

At 5:15, Dave and I decided we'd go to dinner so I had to get dressed. I didn't want to drive so I walked.  I  met him at the cheesesteak place.  I didn't order much because of my stomach. While I was eating, I sure loved it. I even thought it tasted better than last time.  I was a little sad I didn't order more.
We went to storage to take the TV box and a few other things.

After we got home, I probably snacked for an hour too. Then my stomach was slightly upset again.  Dave and I watched Hell's Kitchen  and The Rachel Maddow Show. Then Dave went to use his computer and I watched a couple more hours of political shows. I couldn't bring myself to turn them off.

There was a brief pause where I gave Dave his birthday present (a day early).

I almost went to bed but I was raring to go so I read facebook for awhile and then blogged and made collages for the blog.

Progress - Living Room

I've shown you the progress of our master bath and main bath but nothing else. This is not because I'm a slacker at having progress, it is because I'm a slacker at assembling posts.
Apparently on June 24 when I had before pictures of everything, I never got one of the family room. I only have the one with the sliding glass door.
July 2: Our stuff arrives and I took a few pictures on my iPhone as the room got more full and more full.  It got too full. Notice the couch has the last foot of it blocked by the chair.  The mover tried to tell us this couch should go into storage and the red one should come in the room. I think this is a foot or 2 longer than the red one. It's also 3 inches deeper. Dave likes that he can actually fit on this one to lie down so we were keeping this one.
July 4: I had trouble telling what room some of the pictures were of.  We did make a little progress. I mean we made enough progress to sit.  Don't these pictures just make you want to move and downsize?
July 5: We decided even though other rooms were a priority we had to get stuff into the TV stand to get rid of the boxes and make more room.  So we set up the TV.  Then we watched TV. Then we thought that it was a bad idea to set up the TV  because now we could just be lazy when doing everything else. The hinges to the right door got messed up but we just removed the door and figured we'd fix the door later after all the big stuff was done.
July 7: The family room was still a mess.
July 11: I went quite a few days without taking any pictures of the room. I did take out the old computers from boxes to get them ready to donate. Poly helped
July13: I unwrapped the fucus. Poly helped again.
July 15: We moved the bookshelf out of the way.
July 17: I neatened up all the unpacked boxes ready to sell and sold them but to get them in and out the Living Room got even messier. The room was unpacked enough for Poly though.
July19: I discovered having the TV on and then working and having it not feel so much like work so the Living Room got a little bit better. It's still bad though.
July 20: The progress changed to junk everywhere instead of boxes everywhere. Yes that is a lamp on the floor. We have an outlet there that the light switch works so we wanted something there to use it but it will not permanently be there.
July 22: We moved the TV box. Granted we only moved it to the dining room. We still had to get it to storage. We are the slowest at unpacking aren't we?
July 25: I moved the bookshelf from the hall that shouldn't have been there to the Living Room and put some cook books on it. I also cleaned off the ottoman and most of the junk around the floor.
July 26: I cleaned up even more.
July 27: I hung a picture.
July 29: We hung the main picture.
At some point we swapped lamps in the corner. I never got a picture of it when that happened.  I also didn't seem to capture when we hung up the clock.

Well there you have it. A month of evolution of the family room.

I guess the post didn't happen because of not having progress but I was also lazy about posting, too.

Down the Bog

Callie and Griff visited PA but I'm not there this time to hang out with them. So I photoshopped a picture Timmy put on facebook.  I couldn't find a good picture of me in outdoor lighting where I wasn't in pants or a skirt so I decided to make it extra ridiculous.
Now my Photoshop skills are not that good so I didn't know how to move me into the picture so I had to expand the canvas on the picture of me and put the background picture in it. Well I clearly put myself too close to the middle but I didn't know how to fix it. So this is the result.  It almost looks like I photoshopped Timmy in because he looks like a giant.

I really should quit playing in Photoshop and should finish unpacking this apartment. I don't even put anything related to unpacking on my to-do list anymore.

6.26

I actually ran today. I did 5 loops around the park. Granted the park is only a half mile loop. I also walked a half mile after I ran.
I got dressed and put on more workout clothes.
Poly was chilling on her suitcase rigged up so she could see out the window that opens and it fell.  So she hid underneath the TV stand.
Poly found a canvas bag and slept in it. Too bad that canvas bag still had some things in it that we just bought and it was on the counter.

I watched TV again.

6.25

I was going to run but didn't. (I know... what else is new?)

It was Dave's first day of work.  I watched TV and had a lot of thoughts going through my head.  It was kind of depressing to be home and jobless.
I didn't eat lunch until 3pm. oops. I couldn't even finish it.  I watched a lot of One Tree Hill.  I think it was 10 episodes.

Dave and I went to Red Robin for dinner.
Then I watched more One Tree Hill.

I watched TV.  It's been too long to remember what else I did.

Garmin Watches 110 versus 405

I have had the Garmin 110 and the Garmin 405.  The 405 is newer.
The 110 fit my wrist better.
It wasn't as rigid in it's predefined curve. That curve is too big for my rest so there is a lot of back and forth movement.  The band has the same notches but here one is too big and one is too tight.  No matter what there is still some sliding but the top and bottom of my wrist might also be slightly smashed at the time.    The 110 band also fits my husband's larger wrist better.

The 110 is more readable while running.
I have my Garmin show me splits every .25 and the font is slightly larger with the 110 and also more readable. In addition to fond size the 405 numbers are more curvier while the 110 has distinct squared off numbers like an old alarm clock. While running the 110 was so much easier to read. I think I have pretty good eyes always reading the bottom line at the eye doctor and I have trouble.  I will have to stare longer each time I'm looking and sometimes stop my arm movement because I couldn't even read it in a short time. In the picture above, the light is on for the 405 so ti is deceivingly easy to read. Also we are just sitting here versus moving while running.  I was in fact moving when I took the picture while wearing the 110 but only walking.
405
The 110 seems to get better readings while at a track.
The 405 has a lot more straighter paths and seems like it picked up my location less frequently and had straight lines connecting them instead of any sort of curve.  The 110

The 405 has more settings and you can customize what fields show up.
But then I just set the 405 to show the exact things the 110 showed me. So that isn't better for me.

The 405 tells you how accurate the satellites are when locating them.
I love that the 405 tells you how many feet the satellites are accurate to so I know to wait a little or if I don't care then I will start with them 50 ft accurate.  I tend to like to wait until 17 ft accurate though.

The 405 allows you to save a location and it will tell you how to get back there later.
I've never used this but I do picture that it will come in handy.

The 405 tells you your battery life percentage and I love that. I love knowing if I didn't have it charged if it is at 10% or 80%. I always assume 10 but it is usually 80.
The 405 has a virtual partner.  I sometimes set this up but rarely use it. Since I play bonus seconds in my head, I usually don't need it. Sometimes I look at it to see how far off my math in my head is.

I will say that customer service is good for Garmin. I had issues acquiring satellites and calling them helped.

What Garmin watches do you have or have you had? What do you think about them?  What feature does yours have that you love or what feature do you wish yours has?  What feature does yours have but you didn't use at first and now you love it?

7.26

Poly gets confused and things she's supposed to get ready like I do.  She hangs out at the sink. She gets on the scale.
I went running. I took Dave's watch with me since mine hadn't been working. I was outside 15 minutes and it still didn't work so I got started with Dave's watch. The satellites were never acquired during my entire run.  I googled my problem and everyone said I had to call customer support. Most said that I'd have to send the watch back.  When I called they made me update software and stuff. The lady said to email when all that was done. She didn't want to stay on the phone with me the entire time.  I did email her back when it was done. She never got back to me. At least I have my old watch (Dave's watch now) as a backup watch.  I ran with both watches. I probably looked ridiculous.
Poly waited for me in the window when I left. I left to run and left to lift weights later. She also watched TV with me.
I made some progress on the family room.

I called Comcast and that went horribly that it put me in such a bad mood for the entire evening.  I was going to cook tuna noodle casserole and I couldn't find the noodles I swore we had.  I ran over to Trader Joe's to buy some. They didn't have any. I came back home and told Dave we were going out to eat or dinner was going to be late.  I was still in my running clothes. I was pretty gross but just went to Baja Fresh anyway.  Dave told me that when I went to get a refill on my drink that a guy was checking me out and then he immediately grabbed his girlfriends butt. I found that a little odd.

I completed 17 of 28 things on my to-do list.
