maybe you could read things or send text messages or write a poem or make a necklace or play the banjo? i don't know what one is allowed to do when recovering from knee surgery. how long is it supposed to take?

i have to have my leg elevated above my heart for 4-5 days

i send emails and LJ posts and stalk facebook and myspace. when i'm on the couch all day it just feels like i don't get enough emails. also nobody else posts and updates enough on myspace, LJ, facebook for me.

i think 2 more days and i'm allowed to shower! -- if that's any hint to what i'm allowed to do.

i really can't figure out why my foot points way to the left instead of straight out.

the sun is baking me in there and i have to have the laptop up on my knee and opened to block the sun from my eyes coming in the window

i had to look up what ken ken is. i can see how you could get addicted fast.

the last game i let myself get addicted to was snood, and that was freshman year of college. i played guitar hero for too long the other night. i never played it before but was already up to "hard," because the easy and medium levels don't sound like the song. i bet i'd get addicted to that if i had it.

I can only do easy on guitar hero.

i asked dave to play mario kart with me. he said no. next time he's down here i might have him frind the controller and set up the game for me and ill play a little.

now when i go back to sudoku it seems so hard since it's a different type fo thinking. the first ken ken i did was on Friday. friday night i was loopy so it was hard. i would do 6 minus 2 and get 3 instead of 4 and stuff like that so then i would have so many mess ups

i try to prop it straight with my good leg

when i did PT my foot pointed left too and the guy had me angle it so i did the exercises with my toes pointing to the ceiling.

i need to talk to the dr about it. dave said when the doctor came out after surgery he said something about it not being angled like he might have thought (since i told him about it pointing weird)

wow - i could never do that.

i wonder if that relates to how i suck at reading music compared to just hearing it and imitating it. maybe you could read music.

I can read music. but when i played the violin and lost my place at the recital practices, i could never find my place again because i couldn't tell by hearing and i had to fake it the rest of the song. i remember in 3rd grade i lost a song on about the 3rd not. i had to fake it the rest of the way. it sucked.

i never knew you played the violin.

i mostly use the music as a reference, so if i lose my place (which happens often) it's not such a big deal.

i think i might be even worse for reading music when singing than playing an instrument.

I played the violin in 3rd and 4th grade. i like never practiced. and in 4th grade in one 6 weeks period i forgot my violin 4 times (out of 6)

the one week when i practiced, i actually knew the song when i went in to the lesson. no wonder they tell you to practice. then you kind of remember how you moved your fingers. i bet for real people, they remember the sound of the song. not me i remembered how i moved my fingers.

i think the really good people remember both, but it's hard to concentrate on both.

http://www.addictinggames.com/bubblespinner.html My latest addiction. At first, I said "oh, it's snood." But it's so much better than snood.
