So my day started off with being able to sleep in by an hour. That was nice. But then it was all downhill from there. I forgot to pee in a cup so then I had to go again even though I timed it so I wasn't up wasting time in the morning before my doctor appointment.
I got to the doctor appointment and probably waited 20 minutes. Then I had a 5 minute appointment. I knew it'd be pretty pointless. I did learn that after my next appointment (near 26 weeks) is when I have my glucose test. They didn't even tell me my pulse or blood pressure today. Also I was told the baby's heartbeat is good and in the 150s. These people are not numbers people.
Then I left with plenty of time to make the 8:57 train. But then even though I'm at the train station at 8:40 there is nowhere to park. I look at all parking areas near CalTrain station and they are all 2 hour parking limit. Home is only a mile away and I decide I'll drive there and bike in.
Then on way home, I realize that I can't get to my bike. It's in the garage and Dave has the only garage door opener with him. Then I'm stuck in traffic on Central for about 15 minutes (to go probably .8 mi) So that sucked. I decide instead of trying to break into our garage to get to my bike, I'll just walk. I walked but had 20 minutes to walk 24 min according to google maps. So I had to walk fast. It was so hot that I became sweat covered. Also there aren't sidewalks to walk on anyway so that isn't so fun as it is.
I make it to the train finally but the 9:30 train takes longer than the 9 am train and I am supposed to be at class at 9 so it just all royally sucks.
BTW last night I told Dave I would prefer if he went to the doctor with me so he could drop me off at the train station but he seemed to think that was stupid. Ha. At least last time I went, there were 3 parking spots right in a row so I didn't have to try hard to find one. If i would have known there is 0 parking, I would have made him come to the stupid appointment with me. I mean I have to sit through these pointless appointments so I should make him do it too.
I'm on the train now so I don't know how awful the rest of my trip will be. I still have an hour more on the train. I think I'll post this so this complaining doesn't hog up all the space about actual Dev Bootcamp in a post.
Did you know you can see your vital stat history graphed on the website? I looked last time after my pulse was on the fifties and the nurse asked me if I felt like I was going to pass out.
ReplyDeleteI've poked around on the website before and never saw the full vitals history. The regular dr info was there but didn't see ones from obgyn. i should check again.
DeleteJust checked again and only regular dr appointment BP numbers were on there.
DeleteAre you having the long glucose tolerance test done? Is it standard? I had one done, probably with you, because Mike was almost nine pounds and two weeks early. It was negative, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteEvery pregnant woman gets the 1 hour one. then if you don't pass that you do the 3 hour one.
DeleteSorry you had such a bad morning!
