So according to plans I could
- lift once, 4 mi, 3 mi, 2 mi, and 13.1 mi race
- lift once, 4 mi, 3 mi, 30 min tempo, and 13.1 mi race
- 3 mi, 2 mi, 3 mi pace, and 13.1 mi race
- 3 mi, 3 mi, 4 mi (2 x 1600 at 8:15), and 13.1 mi race (8:56 pace 1:57:10)
Here's what I did.
Tuesday: I ran 3.65 miles. My legs felt so heavy. I was running at 11:20 pace and that was like my top speed. I got into the swing of things after mile 2 though so my overall speed was 10:16.
Wednesday: I ran 3.13 miles with Marie. We set out to do a 10 min pace but went slightly slower. Then the last quarter mile Ella was screaming so bad I just booked it to get home. I finished at a 7:30 pace and the overall speed was 10:05.
Thursday: I ran 3.13 miles with Kathryn at a 9:27 pace. I was in a hurry so we didn't add on. Ella was also a whiner again.
Saturday: Rest day (did push-ups)
Total Running Mileage: 27.39
Total other things: 7 push-up activities
Summary: I did a lot of push-ups. I ran a lot more than I guessed since I forced myself to take 2 rest days. This was a pretty good end to the 12 week training plan.
Now I have to figure out what comes next.
Whatever you did obviously worked since you placed so well! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks I would have done even better if I did speed work when training! So there is room for improvement.
