I'm really behind with my weekly posts. It takes too long to put together the videos and compile them in a post. I still want to though so it's organized in a few years when I look back on it.
I've had a pretty bad week and missed some workouts. My back hurt. I also was lightheaded a few times and eating junk food to help get rid of the lightheadedness.
This morning I made a comparison to day 1 since I was in the say clothes. I haven't been following the meal plan at all and lately have been eating more and more like crap because I'm spending my time on other stuff instead of prepping. I think I made most of my progress in the first month. The first month was more slimming. The second phase was where I got way stronger but in pictures like this, you can't tell that kind of progress. Phase 3 is leaning out phase but since I've been missing workouts and we aren't done with the phase I can't say for sure what progress I will have during that.
I've been awful at pikes since the beginning but I've been trying to work on them. I asked for various tips and improved but then was tucking my head even more.
So then on Sunday I practiced a little more of both the circle over teaser pikes and the pikes themselves.
There is so much to think about to get these right but I'm getting better. My ham strings are tight so it's hard to be perfect but I am making progress. Your core does a lot of work doing these.
Just for fun I did some mule kicks just to see how I did. I need to take a screen shot of the earlier weeks when I was doing those but they aren't on my phone so then it's a lot of effort so I haven't done it. I swear my feet only got off the floor inches. But also it depended what round it was and how tired I was. I just looked and day 32 I did pretty similar but then from March 3 I did not do well at all.
I made a comparison video of when I did cardio flow. I was not in the cold basement so it was hot. I even paused the workout in the middle and went and got a fan. I almost didn't post this since it's just in my sports bra and with all the movements I look worse than I think I look but whatever. Just notice the speed and how fast I can go through it. The top video was at the end of a 3rd round of doing it. It was the last round! The bottom video was at the end of the 8th and final round!

(stats using WHO)
Miles wakes up between 7:30 and 8:00. Then he takes 1 nap a day. It’s mostly near 1:00. Sometimes it's a little later. He naps 1-2.5 hours daily. We start bedtime at 7:30 PM. He goes to sleep so well and even if he ever wakes up and cries for a second, he puts himself back to sleep.
Eating
Miles snacks in the morning upstairs while we are getting Ella ready or has breakfast in the car. He eats a bigger meal at some point before nap. He likes to eat right after nap. Then we get Ella and they snack in the car on the way home. They start dinner or snack immediately after getting home. The kids eat while I cook. Then they mostly don’t eat the actual dinner.
Start bedtime routine pretty close to 7:30. Routine is Benadryl, diaper change, put him in his scratch sleeves and sleep sack. Put on some ointments but most of the time I don't put on any. Then I read books to him. We read 5 or more every night (and before every nap.) He has some favorites but those favorites seem to change. I leave one arm out of the scratch sleeves so he can turn pages and lift flaps. He takes a book to the crib with him. I recently starting holding him and swaying and singing after books and he loves it. (I have no idea why. My singing is so horrible.) He always goes into the crib into the corner with his head on the pillow. I cover him with his 2 afghans and the fleece blanket. Then I turn on his night light elephant and he holds his book. He falls asleep within minutes. He sleeps all night. If I happen to hear him make noise in the night he goes back to sleep himself. He wakes up anywhere between 7:30 and 8:00 for the day. Get Ella ready for school, drop Ella off, and he has a snack in the car.
10 more snack
11:30 lunch
1:00 nap routine starts (This time keeps getting later.)
1:30-3 nap
eat, play, hangout, get Ella, eat, play
then 7:30 bedtime routine again
He gets Benadryl before bed at night and before nap.
Special Moments:
On February 11, Miles climbed up and went down the slide himself at play place at mall. This is the first time he did this.
On February 12, he tripped, hurt his ear, and cried a lot. He said straw. I noticed he spins in a circle. He started a new thing of climbing up into his high chair, holding my hands, and then jumping off.
On February 14, after 2 days Miles can use the shape sorter. He is not perfect but better! If only I could find all the shapes.
On February 18, Miles fed himself cereal from a bowl. He got a bit better as time went on.
On February 19, I accidentally forgot to put 2nd scratch sleeve on at night on the 18th. He slept fine. He woke up in the morning and scratched his face though. Dave put Miles down for nap! (First time when I was home and maybe 2nd time ever.)
On February 26, He smashed his hand in hall closet door.
On February 27, I had to wake miles at 9:05 to get Ella to school or he could have slept longer. Then he didn’t wake when I opened the door and he slept longer. I didn’t have the heart to wake him. He slept 20 more minutes. He had an awful short nap. He wanted to sleep more, but didn’t at same time. There was lots of crying.
On February 28, Miles rode on the big swing himself!
On March 2, Miles walked down the steps holding my hand for the first time. He stepped and didn’t scoot on his butt. I sure was shocked. We never had steps when Ella was little so I don't have a comparison for this. Miles fell off couch and smashed face He had a bloody mouth. (When I documented this in my app, I wrote bloody, bloody bloody mouth.)
On March 3, Miles walked up the steps while holding my hand. I couldn't believe he just walked up instead of crawling.
On March 5, Miles started saying many new things. The best word over and over today was no.
On March 6, Miles says Dora when wanting Dora books. He's been for a few days but I forgot to document it.
Development:
He can climb up on the couches that were a little higher and he couldn't climb on them last month.
He's learned even more body parts.
He will sign water, more, all done, milk, and eat. He said many words one time but not really again. He has repeated animal names when playing peek-a-boo barn. He's said a lot of things one time but then not really again. He does repeat a lot of things.

Day 8 of the road trip (Day 1 was late in the evening)
Flagstaff, AZ to Albuquerque, NM
I was up at 3:30 AM but then miles was back to sleep. Then up at 5:20 AM for the day. I nursed him and put him back in the crib. He was whining. I go to him and he rolled onto his stomach.(That was his first time doing this)
The hotel room is so bright so early. I gave Miles a bath in the sink before anyone else even woke up.
At 6:20, we woke dave up because we were too noisy.
On our way out of town, we went to the visitor’s center to try to get Ella a penny from a penny press since we forgot at the Grand Canyon. They had one but only for Flagstaff.
At the Tesla supercharger we saw a couple we saw at the last charging station! They mentioned they see us in Gallop. That is where we’d charge next but we were taking the long way through and going through the national park.
I tried to nap for 10 minutes. Ella yelled for me every second. I did doze off!
We went through the Petrified Forest National Park. We went to the visitor center and museum. We also walked outside.
We changed time zones entering New Mexico. It was 3:28 and suddenly became 4:28!
We stayed in Albuquerque. We got to go to a Fuddruckers for dinner! I did laundry in the hotel.
So many pics so just click for the rest.

4.19.17
I already posted some teaser pictures.
We drove to Flagstaff. Our hotel was there and the super charger. We walked across the street to Freddy’s while the car charged. On our way to Flagstaff we got warnings from the car to slow our speed to make sure we made it to the super charger. I remember researching on my phone that if the car says 0 miles left if it was really 0. The internet was spotty so researching was difficult but I learned that 0 really did mean 0. We ended up arriving with some miles to spare so that was good.
Then we had to backtrack to go to the Grand Canyon. We did some research about charging our car there and learned we could. We wouldn’t have had to backtrack if they had more super chargers. We also looked into shuttles to the Grand Canyon but they seemed too expensive and too restrictive.
On our way to the Grand Canyon we were using a lot more battery than it originally projected.
We parked at a campsite to charge the car. The spot we got was very far from the entrance so I got out with Miles and Ella while Dave went to park. Both kids were asleep when we arrived and both woke up while getting them out of the car.
I’m pretty sure Dave loved the Grand Canyon. Miles didn’t know what was up. Ella sort of liked it but wanted to run around carefree. I did not like it. I’m far too afraid of heights to like it. Then add a 3 year old that can fit through spots in railings or fall over edges and I really didn’t like it.
It was very hot. It was really warm wearing Miles and a backpack. I was very exhausted.
We had to get a shuttle back to the campground and all the buses were full getting to us. We had to wait a few before we could get on.
Walking to our car in the campground there was an Elk.
The charge on the car was very slow so we didn’t get much additional mileage out of it. We were getting warnings on the way home and it was very stressful. We made it back though!
