I went to the bank and deposited cash. I also went to sam's club to pick up my one set of pictures. I never thougth the 2nd set woudl be ready that i ordered feb 6 at 11pm with the 2-3 day service. But it was. Lucky me. I've been reading a lot today. This book is pretty good. I need to read happier books though.
Is that by chance the same cash you found yesterday?
ReplyDeleteYes it is. but nto all of it. I swapped a 20 with my dad that I replaced yesterday. SO i didnt have to deposit my old bills. I did deposit 2 of the newer 20s though. I also deposited 7 of my dollar coins. i had i think 13 or 17 or something.
ReplyDeleteThe dollar coins are alright to deposit because they are easy to replace. I have a bag of 40 of them or so because I thought they were cool at one time. I put them in this bag like chris farley had his gold in, in that beverly hills ninja movie.
ReplyDeleteAt quiznos, when I had to pay for my sub, I pulled it out and dumped some coins on the counter and asked if they take gold. The girl behind the counter thought it was actually gold at first. Very amusing, but not as funny if the other person never saw beverly hills ninja, because I mimicked chris farley perfectly.
i dont think i've seen teh movie. well i had 2 different kinds of dollar coins. i also have 50 cent coins. then i have these old quarters that are silver. my dad said a long time ago* you used to be able to go to the bank with them and get more money for them but not any more. (*and by long time ago i think he just meant a few years)
ReplyDeleteThose quarters are sweet. What years do you have? I have never found a quarter earlier than 1965, so I assume 1964 was the last year of the silver quarters.
ReplyDeleteA friend up here told me how people were melting down the quarters and turning in the silver for cash, because the amount of silver was worth more than the quarter.
i'll check the dates later. they are upstairs so i'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteI got the quarters when my dad was treasurer for track so he had to count the money from the consession stand. some kid must have foudn his parents collection and one day he had about 4 bucks worth. Then the next day there was more. Then on the third day there was more. On the third day I made some trades with my dad for them.
Oh man, that's insane. That kid trading in all those quarters.
ReplyDeleteThe guy at one of the mints who had some barber head dimes way back in the day gave them to his daughter and told her not to spend them. She spent 3 of the 5 for ice cream. Nowadays, they're worth something like $150,000. I bet she regrets spending those. (I'm a little unsure about some of those details, but that's basically the story).
