Park (9/25/20)

Liam is so big now. He hasn't been to a park since he could only use a swing so he wasn't sure what to do. This is the first time we've been to a park in months. #thanksCOVID

2020 Week 37/52 photo

The fires caused the sky to be orange. This was not a filter. There are many links that talk about it. My camera didn't do it justice. The links have many more examples. I had to use my DSLR, because my iPhone was color correcting.

2/15/21 instastories

Liam slept in. (He didn't through the night but slept in.) I walk in and see he has a dart gun. I don't even know how he got that in his crib.  Liam is begging Miles to share his egg.  Liam gets a laundry basket to use as a step stool to "make popcorn" but the stove wasn't on. Now that Liam has his own egg he's sharing with Miles since Miles shared with him.  Liam doesn't like my off the shoulder shirt. Liam got Dave's jalapeño pretzels. He got one out then tried to give it to me. I could barely handle how spicy it smelled. I of course didn't eat it.  Liam played in the rain and got soaked twice.  I had such a good workout.  It did take 2 hours to even start it with all the kid delays.  Mountain Climbers didn't suck as bad. I got 92 mountain climbers in 40 seconds. Last time I did 75.  This fire pit is not a toy but Liam thinks it is. 

Miles worked on riding a bike. The bike wouldn't pedal right so he couldn't ride it so he got discouraged. We tried another but the seat was just a tad too high and so he gave up. He was discouraged but I said it was not his fault. Then we went for a run/bike ride with his old small balance bike. 

The starving kids wanted food so I made a snack tray. They liked it. 

I cleaned. I spent sooo long cleaning up everything but didn't take any time lapse videos. 

2/16/21 instastories

Dave rode bikes with Miles to school. Liam wanted to go.  I took photos and video at school for over an hour. Miles had a fake smile. He thought it was a good one. I told him I should have said "poop" to get him to smile for real. It works every time. Then we went out to lunch for our first time at outdoor dining. Liam bonked his head and got a welt. Liam would not take off his jacket and napped in it.  Liam is crazy dancing ...no stomping on the table.  

Miles wanted to practice his smile when I said poop. I did my workout really late.  I did a lot of procrastinating. I upped my weights on some of them. 

Hike (2.7.21)

Miles always asks to hike up a mountain so I took him on a hike. I took Liam too with a stroller. The 3 of us walked over 5 miles. It was a bit of a struggle walking up and walking down. I was so exhausted and tired. There were many water breaks and many snack breaks. Miles walked over 3.5 miles of it. I was so impressed. Near the end on the level, Liam walked about half a mile so then Miles got to ride in the stroller. I tried to have Miles sit in the front part of the stroller but Liam kept kicking him off. So then Miles sat and held Liam who sat on his lap. 

This was a fun adventure. I don't know how well it'd have gone with 5 of us. Ella would have gotten tired by the end. 

2020 Week 36/52 photo

It's bed time and Liam is not going to sleep.  He's extra cute since he's rarely without clothes.

Running Streak (Jan 2021)

I decided to try for a 7 day running streak. I thought for sure I would never make it so I didn't tell anyone. A few days into it, I realized I ran on December 30 and 31 so I had 2 days there.  I went 10 days. I could have kept going but my shins were killing me and I needed to rest.  10 short runs. It felt so great.  I never did 7 days in a row before let alone 10. 

I went for a run mid day on day 7 to make sure I got the 7 day run streak in.

I ran 3 more days at night. I can't believe I Ran after 11 PM so much!  I didn't make another collage so you have the individual pictures. I like Garmin because it puts the date in the graphic. 

1/29/21 instastories

Liam was up and eating breakfast pretty early. He likes to make his own pop tart so now that's his favorite breakfast. Poly was on me and Liam climbed up. He was loving her so much. Poly puts up with a lot. She did get sick of it and left but she lasted longer than I'd guess.  The weather was great so I went for a run and talked to my mom on the phone. I finished my loop but was still talking so added on a little more.  Then I talked on the phone more while I pushed Liam on the swing. Liam enjoyed a pear. Liam is silly with the kitchen sink.  I met my mileage goal for the month. Ella wanted me to take her picture. something about a youtube intro.  We all biked to pickup Miles from school. Miles loved it. The trailer is a little crowded with both of them in there. I ordered new pants and they are 3" longer than the inseam I ordered. Liam and Miles like to hug. I have 3 Step Bets going and randomly like to calculate how much I'd make so far with them. 

1/31/21 instastories

 Liam was up early and then so was Miles. I was tired. I tried to lie down on the floor. The both joined me. Liam is trying to make coffee. He actually hit the button to start grinding coffee.  The kids love the swing. After all the rain the swing set flew in the air too much so we decided to anchor it. Dave went to the grocery store and the kids helped me do it.  I did my workout after.  After my workout, I walk out to Liam under the sink spraying windex. Liam loves to vacuum. He tries to go for stuff way too huge to pick up though. Liam sees what he wants and climbs on the counter for it.  I was cleaning and got annoyed that I was the only one cleaning so I decided to go for a run. My shins hurt but I still decided to run a 5k since I hadn't in a month. My guess was 5k in 40 min then I kept thinking I wouldn't make it so I tried to hurry and hurry. (I got it at 38 min). The sky was pretty out the window.  Liam was super silly. My January calendar for what workouts I did. 

Exercise Goals

 

I made January goals. Some of which contribute to my success in my 2021 goals. I met every goal! Push-ups were tough. I had 125 to do in the last 4 days.  Push-ups are rough since my shoulder bothers me so much. It should be getting better but it's not so good. 

I make a dashboard of how I do each month compared to my goals. The goals get adjusted based on injures and number of days in the month. 

1/20/21 instastories

The kids were all eating breakfast and watching TV. Liam wants to go swing. Miles and Liam used the swings. Ella was a bit delayed with school because we watched inauguration. Miles and Liam are at my legs. Liam even watched the coverage while he had a diaper change. Ella did school from the kitchen table. While walking upstairs I noticed what Liam built. Yay Shutterfly has unlimited free pages deal. Liam and Miles ate lunch at the little tables. Liam is a trouble maker with my desk drawers. Liam stole lipstick and hid. Nap time. Then more swing time. Liam was all over me during the PTA meeting. He's a trouble maker. At least I know he could clean up the books sometime. Just putting them in the trash isn't good. Then I had a preschool board meeting. I cleaned up. Then I did a late workout. 

Roadtrip 2018 Video

Two and a half years ago we went on a roadtrip. I blogged about 1/2 the days worth. I have about 1/3 of the days worth of info into my photobook. I'm not on the ball with things.  Here is a 10 minute video to show the 27 days of the road trip. Ella really likes watching this. Liam watches it and sees how nice Ella is to Miles and then he isn't so afraid of her. 

Perler Beads (1.8.21)

 

Ella decided to make a perler bead family for Gio and his family. She even did 2 versions of Abree (baby + little girl). I was really impressed. She did these without a template or anything.

1/24/21 instastories

We went on an adventure. It took us over an hour to leave the house from when I started to get ready. Then we had to go to the super charger and that took forever.  Miles was so happy. He was excited to hike up a mountain. Hills with a stroller are hard. It was hard to push the stroller up and also hard to hold the stroller back when going downhill. We did not go to the top. The kids weren't happy.  I asked Miles to take my picture. He got his finger in every shot. We turned around at a good spot to overlook a lot.

We came home to 2 bags of hand me downs. The kids loved going through it.  After nap we used the swing set. It was cold and sprinkling. I decided to do a workout instead of cleaning up the kitchen. Poly was in my way a lot in the workout. 

1/23/21 instastories

 

Liam dropped his pop tart. He doesn't quite know how to hold a plate level.  I took Miles and Liam on my run. I didn't want to. Miles took lots of breaks. I was running faster than he's used to. He said it was the most fun day ever. He got close to birds. He was so excited.  He wore my bike helmet. He left his out in the rain and Ella's helmet won' fit his head. His head is too wide. I ditched the kids and ran 1 mile myself. It's my fastest mile since October 25, 2018. I also only even broke 11 minutes 7 time since 2018 and 5 of those times were in January of this year.   Miles got me my plate and breakfast. He said it was my day off. They ate while I was in the shower and that's just all the food that was left. 
I played with magnatiles with the kids. I wanted my tripod to take a good picture including me but cant find my tripod.  I happened to catch video of the collapse of the structure the kids worked on. 

I asked Ella to smile for a picture and Miles came in and photobombed. I turned the live picture into a boomerang to see the movement.  The kids used the swing. I took a picture from upstairs.  This corner was made for a little swing set.  Granted when we moved in, there were trees back there that the landlord cut down.  Liam eats a bagel and cream cheese in an interesting way. 

Miles keeps taking the tiny chair so then Liam has to use the big one. I got the little table for Liam since he has trouble with the chairs that are a little bit too high. 

We used the swing set again. My new planner stickers came.  I cleaned the island again!

Liam (1.8.21)

I was on a kick trying to take some portrait mode photos and Liam was on a kick of being cute. Here he is playing in his tent tunnel and also just sitting on the ground.

2021 Week 1/52 photo

Liam was helping himself to this giant container of snacks. Instead of yelling at him, I put my phone on portrait mode and tried to take a few good photos. He was so cute trying to claim the entire container for himself.

1/16/21

I don't even know if I actually posted any of these on instagram. But this is some of what we did. The goal was to get the new desk upstairs but we managed to get it inside the house at least. Liam made a mess and dumped chips out.  I went downstairs and when I came back up Liam had his legs through the spindles.  I wiped down all the drawers and got ready for the desk and Liam got into trouble. Miles and Liam liked to ride in the white car. Miles can sometimes drive well. He finally got the hang of it. But then eh did not stop and he scratched my car.  Liam liked to climb into the desk. WE drove pretty far to go to a random place for lunch. We ate it in the car.  We were on the swing when Miles pointed out a cat. That cat is not ours. We figured out how it gets in our yard.  Miles and Liam love the swing. Every loves to be on top of me when I'm at the table. 

Cleaning 1.18.21

I spent far too long cleaning far too late at night. I was so tired. I wanted to lie down. But I had to clean up this mess.
