New Custom Jeans

I got custom made jeans.  I had to fill out a million questions about my measurements and how normal jeans from stores fit me.  They are mostly awesome. I might have told them to make them a little long but I wanted to wear them with heels but apparently I have to make them with tall heels. I can't wear any other jeans with tall heels so I guess it is good.  They also don't gape in the back as much as other jeans (but they still do a tiny bit).  They are from Indi. The company said if for any reason I'm unhappy, they will remake them fixing what I don't like.  I used a Groupon to get these.  They took about a month to come in.

Have you ever gotten custom or designer jeans?  How did you like them?

Update: A post on pants lengths

  1. you're allowed to show your ankle bones in heels.

  2. I think your ankle bone can be shown in skinny jeans or maybe even tapered leg but not boot cut.
Also those are boots above so you wouldn't see the bone anyway.

I don't think pants are supposed to over at the bottom. The front should hit your shoe and should not hover. Hovering makes boot cut jeans look weird.

  3. I love these on you.
Now I want to get custom jeans. I've been thinking about it forever. Does Indi do custom dress pants? I need those more...

  4. Brie, Indi is just jeans. I don't know if other places do dress pants.

  5. I've heard of Indi before but (obviously) never used them - I love the idea of custom jeans, though!

And yes, for bootcut jeans they should end just above the floor (about a half inch) in the back, and rest just on top of the shoe in the front...skinny jeans should either end at the ankle (then they are ankle skinnies), or puddle just a smig at the ankle (that's what I prefer...it's more lengthening).

  6. Ashley I actually was thinking I should have said these should be 1/2" shorter but I'm not dealing with sending them back and waiting longer. Plus they may shrink in the wash or something so I'll see.

I like the custom part because apparently my body isn't built "normal" because I always have trouble. But lately with all my working out my butt is big and then this helped get jeans to fit that.

BTW someone go to my blog doing a google image search with "my butt is so big" so I guess I talk about that.

OK I Just measured and with the shoes I have on now, the pants are 1 9/16 from the ground. so I guess they aren't as long as I thought. or I measured wrong.

  8. There aren't that many options for jeans. flares, boot cut, skinny jeans. that's what express has. skinny don't fit me. and flares need to be even longer to like cover your shoe and have a lot more issues with hovering. so that least me with boot cut at Express. Gap doesn't even have a size small enough for my waist/butt.
NY&Co waistline is too high for my gut. I'm still working on finding jeans that fit at stores.
Old Navy doesn't have any that fit.

  9. There is a store that contains multitudes of different brands for you to try on at the same time: Macy's.

  10. Those fit nice. I like how the guy on their front page is cross-eyed.

I've just worn jeans that don't fit my whole life, but I do remember seeing something about this on Oprah, like fifteen years ago, and all the jeans made all the ladies look so much better than their old crappojeans.

I have one pair that fits me just right, and I have to save them for special times when I might be ogled, because they are kind of thin and will wear out. Also, I'd be wearing the same pair of jeans all the time if I wore the only pair that fits.

  11. Callie, I sometimes think my express jeans fit as well. When I try on other jeans, they fit like crap so I don't buy them. I have tried to buy jeans from multiple places over the years but express fit the best.

I Just wish express were longer for wearing with heels.

but also I think with my express ones now, my butt is too big and I can barely get them up. Like if the zipper would go down another inch it would help the get over my butt factor. so then pulling my jeans up, I think I stretch the waists and that's why they gape in the back more and more as I wear them.

  12. I have that zipper issue with a lot of my jeans now, too. Ones that fit okay in other aspects. It's weird that I weigh the same, but my frame has changed just enough to make the jeans not want to go over my hip bones (and that's all they are: bones). It sucks to hit puberty when you're 27.
